Assignment 1:
In a journal or word document, answer the following questions:
1) What is something that you feel every human being should be entitled to that you do not have access to? (examples might be: leisure and rest, healthy food, access to nature, education, a living wage)
2) What is something that you have access to that humans in general are not entitled to? (ex: privileges that stem from social position, generational wealth, access to goods produced through labour exploitation)
Assignment 2:
Take 5 minutes (or more) and write down at least 12 things you can think of to be grateful for. Challenge yourself to think of things you don't usually appreciate.

I'm not an expert in Wendigo/Wetiko by any means, and I highly recommend reading Columbus and Other Cannibals to explore Forbes' idea of the Wendigo. But essentially his idea is that people who perpetuate violence, and especially people who administrate or oversee violence that they have others conduct on their behalf, are Windigos, or people possessed by a cannibalistic spirit. This is something I've seen referenced by other Indigenous comrades as well, referring to colonizers as Wendigo. But it's not a blanket thing like "white people = Wendigo," Wendigo as I understand it is the spirit that moves through the world and possesses people and turns them into Wendigos. So anyone regardless of social position can become a Wendigo if they are working in service of violent/cannibalistic interests.
