I saw your vid on fungal parasites in crickets, and how the common nature of these parasites can make them unsafe for consumption. I was wondering if there were any parasites or viruses that could infect fungi? Thanks!

fungi is as broad a group as animals or plants so it depends. But there are fungi that parasitize other fungi, viruses can attack anything with DNA so they can also infect fungi and bacteria etc can also attack/ infect it. Basically anthing that has been around for more than a few generations develops its own predators or diseases.

Yup. Like the other comment said, their are plenty of viruses, bacteria, protists and other fungi which attack free living fungi. Even viruses have viruses of their own. Life is basically just a Russian nesting doll of pathogens and parasites.

I don't know about you, but I leave the peel on sweet potatoes, it's the most nutritious part of any potato really. I do rinse them before cooking at least.

Its a reckless and ignorant act, however lets just be real about the fact that it was $900 of goods according to Walmart not more. Id never say anything positive about Walmart, but obviously you shouldnt get away with potentially poisoning people (or cats for that matter)
