the fishtail just didn't work on her. the first dress was trying too hard and the second didn't carry the drama into the skirt. i've seen lots of princess dresses that have embellishments from the bodice all the way down the skirt and around the hem, i guess they couldn't get that on a £1500 budget?

The bride wants "dramatic" and she wants "everyone looking at me." And princess. All that costs money. Plus, the dresses in the store usually start at £1500. You can't come in with a low budget and expect all the bells and whistles. If you want all that still, then don't go to a store that only sells designer gowns. She could have gone to to Lancashire - where the designers are cheaper - or sacrifice something. None of this is the store's fault.

Agree they should have tried an A-line. I hate fishtail dresses, but she looked fabulous in dress 2. They could have tried other dresses with that or a similar silhouette. The episodes from this store always seem to go to extremes: "Oh, you don't like this one, over-the-top, exaggerated dress in this style, so let's ditch this silhouette entirely and not consider any of the 8,000 other dresses we have in this style."

I commented on both - but it was more an issue with the entourage that people are having. The first bride had two friends who said nothing positive and left her deflated. The second - she knows what she wants and she knows she looks fine and she has an entourage who went right there with her.
