@wcfradmuehl How could it not have been? The WWE fanbase is now made up of 70% children...25% teenage girls...and 5% tried and true wrestling fans. So that means 95% of the audience was either ready to go to bed or getting wet in anticipation for John Cena...

@RubberClits Look into any crowd at any WWE event. Raw, Smackdown, or whatever. It is clearly filled with grown men and women.

@RubberClits Actually, no, there is a huge difference. When the outcome is predetermined, you know that the match is bound to be good when the results are put into the writer's hands. With MMA, you don't know if the fight will be good, or just a one round knock out. So if you pay for a UFC PPV, you have to decide if it's going to be good or not beforehand. But with wrestling, you know there will always be at least one good match

@Botch0nugggentR If you think WWE is doing fine, you're pretty naive. Their top stars are leaving or not resigning because of all these restrictions on their promo's and the uprising of UFC. The wrestlers don't wrestle 200+ days a year, never see their families, and work through countless injuries so that they can't have any creative freedom with their characters and their in ring perfomance. WWE's major sources of revenue continue to decline because what they are selling is contrived crap.

@Botch0nugggentR CM Punk's promo was allowed by Vince, that was the story. But you can not tell me that you didn't know WWE has a team of writers that write scripts for what the wrestlers have to say. It's not like 10-15 years ago when the wrestlers just had bullet points to follow, and then were free to improvise their lines. And the uprising of UFC isn't just leading to guys leaving the WWE, it's also making young and upcoming guys decide to take the MMA path instead of pro wrestling.

@Botch0nugggentR MMA and pro wrestling aren't that different. The only difference is that one outcome is predetermined and the other isn't. Wrestlers and mma fighters are both trained to perform, there are feuds that lead to PPV's, guys have signature moves, the most important thing is championships, and the list goes on...

@RubberClits Restrictions on their promos? How on earth could you say that when CM Punk just delivered that legendary promo insulting the fans and the McMahon family JUST LAST WEEK? And The uprising of UFC? Are you serious? Okay, so two of their former stars left WWE for MMA, but that doesn't mean UFC and WWE should be in the same context. They are two totally different products, it's complete idiocy to think otherwise. And btw, have you ever heard of travel? Yeah, it's kind of required for WWE

@RubberClits But MMA is completely different from pro wrestling. Everyone knows that. Wrestlers are trained to perform and put on a show, while MMA is an actual sport. Thats like saying guys taking the path of cooking instead of baseball, they're two totally different things.

@Botch0nugggentR Come on man, use your head...how are these children getting to these shows??? You think a 5 year old is gonna drive his big wheel over to Madison Square Garden??? Of course adults are there, but the majority of the adults there aren't fans, they bring their kids. Point is, it's getting harder and harder for wrestlers to get over because more than half of the audience only cares about like two wrestlers.

@RubberClits That's funny, considering most of the adults are in their early twenties. Honestly dude, stop trying to present a problem that doesn't exist. WWE is doing fine nowadays. Not as good as they were ten years ago, but just fine. I assume the two wrestlers you are talking about are Cena and Orton. But maybe you forgot some: Punk, Sheamus, Christian, R-Truth, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett. It's not like fans are forced to choose between two wrestlers to cheer for.
