Watching this now half a year later now....this is truly a timeless moment that I can't get enough of. I'm not even a big CM Punk fan but I feel like this represents the return of PRO WRESTLING and that is what brought me to tears. I grew up on this and after over 15 years of Disneyland sports entertainment, it was such a relief to finally get some hope that the kind of wrestling I loved was finally coming back. I knew this would change the business. Just look at Cody Rhodes jumping ship and being given a huge spot at Wrestlemania. And he is actually being allowed somewhat to call it professional wrestling. Thank you Tony Kahn and thank you CM Punk for lighting the fire! With the 🌎 in chaos, from the pandemic to now a potential WW3 erupting across the globe, at least us pro wrestling fans can have some kind of escape, even if it's only for a few hours a week.

I get emotional because three days prior my dog died, I went to the event with a feeling of happiness and sadness but when we got to the arena the vibe was right and when Punk entered I felt this overwhelming joy! I left a work environment that wasn’t good for me. I knew if I stayed at that job I was going to get let go because I stopped truly caring. I did the bare minimum to stay a float at that job. Starting somewhere else where my work wasn’t being taken for granted and having more freedom and say made me feel like Punk getting to AEW. It was around the same time as well when Punk came home.
