I love Rita Hayworth! She had so much grace, so much class! What a beautiful person inside and out! I feel so sad she was exploited by so many despicable men. She was so innocent, so shy, vulnerable! Here there is an undeniable sadness in her eyes, I think. What a lovable woman, a lovable personalidade, a lovable human being. I pray for the happiness of her soul every night, wherever she is. I am sure she continues being a star shining in heaven.

***** I agree 100% with you Renarga! Yes, she was so underrated! But usually, when the woman is very beautiful as she was, people tend to consider only the beauty (as beauty and talent were impossible to put in the same category), and deny the person the chance to show her other qualities besides the obvious beauty. It is very, very unfair. Once I read that Rita Hayworth and Bette Davis were the most hard working actresses in Hollywood. For me, Rita was the most talented dancer Hollywood has ever had. Nobody danced so perfectly and naturally than her. Fred Astaire said that he has never met anyone who could learn a choreography as fast as Rita. I think Rita has never gotten the credit she deserved as a dancer, actress, and person. She was exploited in all the ways. I feel so, so sorry for her... She was so genuine, kind, giving, humble... It seems that she was destined to be unhappy in this life. Unfortunately, her beauty and vulnerability were her misery. Men exploited her for her beauty (including her father) and critics considered impossible a person so pretty to have talent too. She was in the wrong world and judged by the wrong people. She had that something else that nobody could match. She was a true star in the deepest sense of the way.

+Simone Bittencourt I am moved by yours and others comments here. Small wonder that Rita Hayworth would have been deeply loved by her daughter, over flowing as she is here with warmth and personal magic.

Allen Gumm Thank you so very much for your comment as well. Oh, definitely, she was more loved that she could even imagine. Still today she is and a person like her always will be. Once Orson Wells said that she was the nicest and the most loving woman that ever lived. I am sure she was! People question the love of fans for celebrities. But I think in her case, I loved her even more as a person than as an actress, for her authenticity. I loved and love the real Margarita Cansino before even becoming Rita Hayworth. She was always, famous or not, a person who was born to be loved. She gave a lot of love to others.

Simone, I am a great close fan of Rita, and in my case think like you said, its much powerfull listen to Jack Lemmon tell how all the Columbia employers loves Rita than her stardom; Orsn wells said that Rita had a natural dignity ,and I agree, thanks for your warms words for Rita ¡¡

My favorite actress of all time, such timeless beauty and talent, yet humble and sweet.Rita lit up the screen with her captivating dancing that made her so special to watch, and one could not take their eyes off her for a second once the music began. I doubt that we'll ever see the likes of her again... thanks to these videos, our ability to enjoy her lives on.

She can speak some French but not Spanish even though in the Argentinian press it was clear she understood Spanish. It is reflective of how Spanish was perceived until a few years ago. White people would not be bothered with even the easiest Spanish words while they took many pains to get French right which is much more difficult to pronounce.
