i hate the dashboard screen. removing physical buttons and burying functions behind menu screens is exactly what was worrying me.

Putting nearly all in car functionality into a centre screen is a trend with just about every brand right now. For the manufacturers it's cheaper and easier, but for the drivers it can be a little frustrating especially when driving an unfamiliar car. Thanks for watching!

Really like it. Grew up a petrol head and love the marquee brands. But once you drive a tesla 3 performance or seal performance it's all over. You get M4 performance and build quality without any petrol or service costs.

I want to know with turbo how long these engines can go? I don't like at all how these Germans cars are these days. They totally lost quality and reliability.
@4wheelsandaseat Жыл бұрын
Well I would think that as long as you keep the servicing up, it should last for decades. BMW have just introduced 5 year warranties, and while that is lower than a lot of car makers, it does mean that they have some confidence in their product. Thanks for watching.

The new gen BMW drivetrains are proving pretty robust especially this B48 and the 6 cylinder B58. Nothing to worrry about really.
@milantomich6568Ай бұрын
@joebloggs4191 6 cylinder yes. . How about 4 cylinders? I know 4 is to low and small for turbo.
@joebloggs4191Ай бұрын
@@milantomich6568 B48 is the 4 cylinder as fitted to this 320i and it’s been around since around 2014 or 2015 and has proven to be very reliable. It also does not have any electrification (mild hybrid) as some its competitors do which means less to go wrong later down the line. In addition Toyota use both this 4 cylinder as well as the B58 6 cylinder in their Mk5 Supra so that’s saying something.
@milantomich6568Ай бұрын
@joebloggs4191 Turbo is the problem, not 4 cylinder. There is too much power for small engines. Cannot last like without turbo. Without turno, that car would have maybe 130 hp.
@hch720 Жыл бұрын
2.0L turbo engine with only 184 hp, disappointingly weak engine power. Other brands of cars have 2.0L turbo engines with more than 250 hp.
@Shaggy12321 Жыл бұрын
So do BMW, their own 330i has 250 from the exact same engine - the B48 in the 320i is just an ECU change away from it.

"6.6 litres per hundred kilometres" As far as stating fuel efficiency, that is the most backwards, butchering of the English language I think I've ever heard on any car video. Horrifying that that is anyone's normal way of speaking about that aspect of driving.
@4wheelsandaseat Жыл бұрын
I’m curious - how do you think it should be stated?

@@4wheelsandaseat xx miles/km to unit of fuel. Like the rest of the world.
@4wheelsandaseat Жыл бұрын
@@MatthewCyUK right okay. I have to admit you’re the first person who has ever mentioned that to me. Thinking about it, that is how it is done in US reviews. Car makers in Australia do not supply fuel consumption information that way - it is only litres per 100kms on a urban, highway or combined cycle which is the figure I always quote.
