People don’t know how HARD it is to write calligraphy that slow and steady. When I do calligraphy, I have to do it fast so the line aren’t squiggly. This lady is so skilled and talented to be able to write like that, not to mention her font is sooo elegant!!😍
@JonHop13 жыл бұрын
It came completely naturally to me.. I thought it was so easy and a lot of people thought I was crazy or some savant at calligraphy, but I think my background in Graffiti and art just allowed me to have a really steady hand, but also a great understand of letters and feel for how to use the ink/paint.. Spray paint is in some ways similar to Calligraphy. With the angling of the can and the spray and the quick changes in pacing and movements to achieve a thinner or thicker line.

Yet I was blessed to have been taught “Spencerian Script” over 50 years ago by the late George Hilliard, a gentleman who had worked in a bank his entire adult life and did all the ledger entries using this script. Can you imagine what that must have been like? What Mr. Hilliard taught me was essentially what you’ve demonstrated in this video, but with a little less flourish.
