Mustang was slowly becoming one of my favorite characters but this scene was so deep and emotionally driven. The action, the emotion he is going through, the voice acting, just solidified him becoming one of my top 3 favorite characters of the show.

2:24-2:26: I've always interpreted Mustang's reaction as the last missing piece of a puzzle that kept him up at night finally clicking into place. Hughes for all of his goofiness was a crafty man so what caused him to die the way he did, where he did? Realizing that Envy used the face of Gracia Hughes, the woman Maes loved and who mothered his pride and joy, Elicia it finally made sense. The puzzle haunting Mustang was finally solved then promptly thrown and set on fire.

Mustang taking revenge without hesitation is so satisfying. He doesn't let anything get in his way. I just love it so much. No remorse for Envy, just pure revenge. And it doesn't have any moments where he's not in control of the whole situation. Just perfection.

I just want to know were Envy's confidence came from thinking he could face everyone. He knows Scar can mess him up from his Marcoh fight, and he knows Ed is a handful already. Those 2 alone should already put him on edge. Then again Envy wouldn't be as fun if he was actually smart.

i think most of his confidence came from his jealousy tbh 🤷‍♀️ winning fights against humans, outsmarting them, and belittling them lifted his self-esteem because deep down he believed humans were better than him
