You didn't mention the top speed of Coquette and Deveste 8. For those curious, Coquette is 160 km/h (making GTA IV the slowest) and Deveste 8 is 270 km/h (making GTA V the fastest).

The Diablos in GTA 3 were originally meant to have Infernus but this was too fast for an early gang car, so was changed to Stallions. You can hear King Courtney still refer to the Diablos car as Infernus in that mission where youve to collect gang cars.

GTA IV surprised me the most. I always thought it was a battle between the Comet and Infernus as the fastest, as many sources cite the Comet as having the highest top speed, while the Infernus has better acceleration. But I always found driving the Coquette to be much more nimble and lighter, so it “feels” faster. The Comet, by comparison, feels heavier and has a somewhat sluggish launch, and the Infernus is a bit harder to control, especially at low speeds.

Infernus was pretty underwhelming in GTA IV, the car is so rare, but it's just like any other sports cars in terms of performance. Even Sultan RS is better. 😐

GTA V and GTA Online should've been separated. Speedometer could also help (GTA V also tracks the fastest speed achieved in the stats, probably some other games as well).

Then it makes sense that, unexpectedly for me, vehicles that I had never heard of won in the competition among GTA V cars, and cars like Z-Type, Adder and Turismo R did not even participate in the competition! Turismo R is a GTA Online car, but Rockstar used to add new cars to GTA V as well (only purchasable, cannot spawn in traffic), then they stopped doing that. I don't think Turismo R can beat Adder (without upgrades). Acceleration could be better, but Adder should have higher top speed still.

Yeah those vehicles aren't really relevant to GTA 5 Single player, and as always it should have been Online vehicles as of today as they tend to always release more towards that speed record.

@@MrGarryGrey If I'm not confusing anything, the upgraded Z-Type is slightly faster than the (upgraded) Adder. As for the Turismo R, I don't really have much to add, except that I've overlooked that it's not an OG car. Oh, one more thing, Turismo even with upgrades will be slower than the upgraded Adder. The faster acceleration (about 20 seconds to full speed versus about 30 for Adder) is very nice, though.

The mk2 is actually really slow, caping at only 130 kmh and even then you have to know how to achive that. There was a way to make it even faster but instead of fixing it Rockstar just made it hard enough to do that noone bothers. Also people keep complaigning about the mk2 constantly while it has tons of counters if you actually know how the game works. Chaff, flares, armored vehicles, Stromberg/Toreador, Deluxo. The mk2 is an easy pay to win K/D ratio buff but if you ever run into a proper tryhard with it, you'r gonna have a verry bad time. Another thing, not that any of that even matters now since the game is 80% modders now most of which are actual chill guys who punish griffers with god mode, imobilisation and so on.

In GTA 4 and 5, they're the same speed if you look into the code of the game. The difference you saw is standard deviation because you can't always go in a perfectly straight line. They limited the max speed of the cars because of loading times back when it was released on PS3

@@TabbyEgg312 nope. In fact, the video is wrong about the Coquette being the fastest, this is because in GTA 4, cars of the same model spawn with different engine rpm levels. If you take 2 random cars off the street, chances are one will rev higher than the other, and therefore be faster. Since the performances of the 4 fastest cars are nearly the same, this variable can make one faster than the other. However the Comet has a bug that makes it dominate online races if you master it. It's faster while driving on sidewalks, while driving offroad, and while hugging concrete walls on expressways. Potholes also speed it up a little. This bug is found on no other sport car in the game, except for the Police Stinger only available in TBoGT multiplayer freemode, which is even faster

Hao Special Works as entered the chat. A HSW enabled Deveste will trash all the other super cars. A HSW enabled GTO Stinger TT (sports) will beat a Deveste on top speed and a HSW enabled La Coureuse (also Sports) pisses all over everything in the game in every area EXCEPT top speed. Side note: I make a lot of custom jobs and quite a few end up in various YT videos, so I occasionally search my user name and GTA. Every time I get "did you mean ENXGMA?" Idk, but I think some racecar from San Andreas has to be the fastest in the game. I remember driving it at the airport and on the runway it's so fast you can even feel and see the effects of its speed displaying on the screen. It usually happens when you drive in a straight line for a couple of seconds. I think you access it at that racecar event near CJ's home in Los Santos and if you're using cheats, on PC it's ""VROCKPOKEY" or something like that.

The Bullet is by far my favorite car in SA. It doesn't have the highest top speed tho and probably not the best acceleration but it feels great on the road. It has the beast clearance out of all the super/sport cars, it handles great even at top speed, it sounds and looks amazing... I like to put hydroulics and offroad tires on it making it my go to car for traversing any relation.

If you tested Torero XO that would've been the most fastest car as well in gta 5 that comes from gta online of course. With Krieger as well that used to be the most fastest supercar before on gta 5 but not anymore. With Sportcars the fastest one is still Pariah of course.
