Ireland has been in junior Eurovision for years now! Your husbands reaction is the reason we need to enter Irish songs. Nobody realizes how important our language is to us because of our history of British oppression. It’s on our road signs along with English. We refer to “gaelic” when we speak about all the styles from Ireland, wales, Scotland, and France. We say “Irish” to delineate from the other Gaelic languages because they’re all different. Brilliant Irish junior Eurovision entry! Makes me so proud to hear our beautiful language on an international stage! 🇮🇪

The song is in Irish (gaeilge) all our junior Eurovision songs are in Irish as the participating broadcaster is tg4 (Irish) not RTE( normal Eurovision)

It’s interesting the different reactions from the different generations. The boy is really open and clear about it: the song is from Ireland and is therefore in Irish. The father is blocked due to previous experiences: the song cannot be in Irish; it must be in French 😂 the father doesn’t seem to be able to accept the truth until the end of the video. Le chéile means together.
