Levo já muitos anos como guitarrista e, pese o fato de que, profissionalmente, me defenda mais com a guitarra elétrica, a minha preferida foi e será sempre a acústica de cordas de nylon. Embora não seja brasileiro, tive como mestres, Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Baden Powell, Chico, Djavan, Gil , Caetano, Bosco e sei lá, meu Deus, quem mais! Juntando a estes também todos os guitarristas de jazz e fusion que elejo como referências maiores. Pela sua forma de tocar, também passa a ser mais um. Quando ouvi a sua introdução ao vídeo, eu duvidei, que aquele som acústico estivesse a sair, com todo o respeito, de uma guitarra de “lata”. Não só me surpreendeu o som de violão com a clareza e a beleza, sobretudo naquele que o Walter diz ser o que mais lhe agradou também, e que eu sobrescrevo totalmente. Nunca tive de perto, nem nunca toquei numa guitarra com essas características, mas confesso que fiquei bastante surpreendido e impressionado com todos os seus comentários sobre o instrumento, ao ponte de me dar vontade de conseguir um. I recently purchased a Godin Multiac Nylon Deluxe Grand Concert model which sounds incredible. It can blend the 6 independent piezo with the internal Lyric Mic from LR Baggs. Try it and you may buy it!!

It would be great if there was a version with a standard classical guitar neck like the Yamaha NW silent guitar has (52mm nut width and 12th fret joining at the upper bout.) This would appeal more to the Latin American market ( which must be huge) and classical guitar players.

Friend of mine who is a pretty good player swears by his "Parker fly nylon" It has a very warm sound and he likes it because it is light-weight. (he used to do 3 - 4 hour gigs!) Sadly, I don't think you can buy them new anymore.

Dear Walter, I totally agree with your comments. This guitar could have designed to all events (practice room to stage and recordings). My one additional suggestion to the company, is the midi connector! in which the guitar has no issue at all. I enjoyed very much all of your performances.... thank U 👍 PS. Not bad for $700. I JUST WISH THEY WOULD MAKE IT IN LEFT-HANDED CONFIG. The App would also have to be 'Lefty-Friendly' too, of course. A lot of work, no doubt. We always get forgotten. The electronics on it are pretty sophisticated, and the recording feature is pretty genius. Nice. MAKE A LEFTY ENYE!!

Im lookig for a similar guitar( not necessaily as sophisticated) with a 50 to 52 mm width at the nut. Just a classical-type guitar with decent elctronics. Anyone have a suggestion? Please... and please again. Thank you.

No Latin Beats, they most certainly missed out on another 75 percent of the potential clientele that instrument would appeal to. I love your demo its very in-depth. And I am actually considering purchasing this instrument just by your review alone. There are ways to get around certain aspects if you really want but it would be so convenient to have it all in one package. Thank you for your professional insight.

Loved your review, it was very helpful, thank you so much! Just one remark: My guitar did not come with ball end strings. The equipped strings are kept in place with a tied knot. (Checked with the G string). I'm not sure If ball end strings would fit into the small hole on the bridge

You're right! A work around when replacing strings would be sliding the plastic ball end off the nylon strings so the knot can go through the holes, while the lower strings will need to have a knot made. Not very practical I guess.

Beautiful sounding instrument & playing. One thing I was wondering if you would comment on though, is the upper curved rim of the framework…..I have a Yamaha Classical Silent Guitar, which also has a lovely sound, but the rim was so painful against my body that I had it modified and sanded. I thought perhaps this is just a problem for females, but I did discover that quite a few males had the same discomfort in that area. Personally, I would like to see the designers work on a few alternative designs to that area to accommodate female players😊

I found the upper curved frame to be very comfortable, maybe also due to the guitar having half of a body (instead of just a stick with upper and lower frames), which gives a good "belly" support. I have played holding it in three different ways: right leg on a stool, using a "neckup" leg support, and with a regular strap (the one I used on this video), they were no issues for me. After reading your comment, I asked my wife to play a few chords holding the guitar on her right leg and also with a strap, she found it very comfortable, BUT, I guess that's personal. Too bad local stores don't carry it so you could actually try it yourself. At any rate, I hope that helps :)

Very nice! Is it possible simulate steel guitar sound with this nylon string version? I'm not sure whether to buy the nylon version or the steel version of this guitar, because I want an instrument that is as versatile as possible. I'm Brazilian, I want to perform voice and guitar, I'll play a lot of samba and bossa nova, but I also want to play rock. Which of the two guitar options do you recommend, nylon or steel?

I'm a nylon string player and I agree with Walter 100% on all his points. The sound is beautiful. The biggest turn off for me is the non-Latin rhythm sounds. This guitar should have over-the-top rhythm sounds for Latin music and Bossa Nova rhythms. The control should be closer to where can access it fast. Live players need quick access to that and if it's in the back it is difficult. I don't use ball end nylon strings at all. I tried them before but I thought it would damage the bridge on the guitar. I don't know if it's true but I used them only once. The price on this guitar is affodable at $700. I think it's a very good price for this type of guitar after hearing it and having Walter review it. I trust him on this.

Thanks for watching! The effects are the same on both steel and nylon models. It plays very comfortably, the nylon strings are always easier on the fingers compared to a steel string acoustic. Like with any other guitar, a good setup with low action will make it play very easily.

Nice guitar, and I think your review was spot on. I was surprised by how good the guitar sounded with the internal speaker. How comfortable is the upper bout? It looks like it might be digging into your side and under your upper arm. But, this is very hard to tell, and I haven't heard anyone complain about it. How does it feel in traditional Classical Guitar position when using a footstool? Also, what is the distance from the guitar top to the bottom of the 6th string at about 6 inches from the Bridge? I often use a thumb pick, and I don't want it hitting the top when I play. Thanks

Thanks for watching. Upper bout is comfortable for me, no complains there. I don't hold the guitar in traditional classical position, so I can't really tell, but no issues holding it on the right leg or using a strap. The distance from the guitar top to the bottom of the 6th string at about 6 inches from the Bridge (with a low action) is about 10mm.

It doesn't look like it rests on the leg comfortably and securely. Is it comfortable to hold? Can it be played without a strap?

It actually does rest very comfortably on the leg. It balances well, there's also a "rubbery" strip on the bottom of the guitar for a nice grip on the leg. I found it very comfortable to hold with and without the strap.

I live in the tropics. Where laminate guitars go to die. I'm very interested in the future of carbon fibre, for that reason. Walter , can you tell us more about the charger ?. What is it actually charging ? Is it charging the effects only or does it power the speakers ( and amp, i assume ) ? The straight tone through the ambient mic was very nice as it is. Thank you.

The usb-c port charges the main battery which powers the entire guitar, including the speakers. I haven't measured how much time a fully charged battery lasts, but I can tell you it goes for several hours of playing time. If you play for about an hour a day, it will go for several days on a single charge, at least that's what I have experienced so far.

Really was attracted to that guitar. Sounds great. Unfortunately it is £923.99 in the UK which is the equivalent of $1173. Seems like a massive rip off when it should be £549. So it is twice the price in the UK.

Sounds great! But.. ball end strings only? - that's not great as the ball-end choices are limited. Also Adding a "Rock drum" accompaniment and leaving out Latin beats is also an extremely weird choice on a nylon guitar by the manufacture - imho

Nylon string guitar is a near perfect design. The less electronics added to the sound of a vibrating string the better. Why screw with the benchmark sound of near perfect design? Intimacy becomes lost. A well made acoustic instrument is perfection.

Agreed, nothing compares to the beauty of a natural nylon acoustic guitar sound, but for the purpose this guitar was built, I think they did a fantastic job, I think it serves its purpose very well. I was very impressed with the sound through the built in speakers, just beautiful!
