Very good teview video! Complete, honest, and enjoyable. Best part? The reviewer is an accomplished player who actually doesn't spend half of the video trying to prove how great his playing is! Subscribed.

The best review on this guitar so far🎩 Pickups are very easy to change. Just take the strings off and take the pickups out, they are just held by 4 magnets, no screws. In a few days I will change the strings and will send some photos, also about adjusting the poles, very easy to do. I viewed your video a couple of weeks ago and remember you saying or writing that you are willing to share settings of the magnificent sounds you used on your solos. That would be very helpful for me, since I will use the guitar for the first time next week at an international festival (Timisoara, Romania). Many thanks in advance🙏🕊

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching! Good to hear it's easy to replace the pups, I kinda assumed it would be a bit more complicated because of the whole amp system built into the guitar and IDK anything about electronics, just know about playing lol Shoot me an email to aminorerrorrocks@gmail.com and we'll figure out how to share my presets. Thanks again!

@@aminorerror Your videos are great. If you have not picked up a Strandberg with True Temperament frets you are missing out! What it does for sustain and natural harmonics is unreal. This Nova guitar seems cool. If I get one... I'd definitely want to get the frets replaced at some point. Nickel frets are terrible on any guitar, too soft for most strings. Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words, appreciate you giving the channel a sub! I haven't checked out a true temperament guitar yet, they're just so freaking expensive I can get like 8 guitars in for review for the same amount of cash and I'm not in the market for a new guitar to keep so idk when I'll be able to check out the true temperament ones. They look really cool and I do think they're revolutionary and cutting edge though. Maybe the price will come down in the future!

I have 3 Enya guitars and the Nova Go Sonic is an amazing instrument! I do wish the speakers were a bit louder or at least able to handle the full output without distorting. Maybe a built in tuner for the next iteration too.
@aminorerror5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, those are all great suggestions! I'd love some sort of a drive pedal in front of the amp to drive it into a bit more high gain saturation personally, hope Enya sticks around enough to improve on an already solid product in the future.

How long battery can lasting?
@aminorerror2 күн бұрын
You know that would have been a great test, I've never actually tried to see how long it would last just keeping it on. With my use of a few hours here and there a few times a week, that battery has easily lasted almost a month, so I'd say the battery life is pretty outstanding.

Would it be hard to upgrade the pickups and possibly the speaker?
@aminorerror5 ай бұрын
I've got no idea, I'm too scared to open it up, I actually use the thing to jam and practice when I watch my kids a couple days a week so I don't wanna break it lol My guess would be kinda difficult and I wouldn't recommend attempting unless you're pretty knowledgeable about electronics and there is a battery inside with enough power to drive the 10w power amp so there would be some kind of an electrocution risk probably too if you poked around inside without knowing what you were doing. Hope that helps, good luck!

I’m wondering about the battery life . Will the battery life be the same after months of owning it can it be replaced? That’s the big question
@aminorerror5 ай бұрын
Not sure about replacing it, but I've been using mine now for probably five months and haven't had any issues with the battery. The life has performed great too, I usually practice maybe 10 hours per charge on it and prob should have mentioned that in the review.

I saw in a bunch of reviews people said the frets are a soft alloy and show wear even after just a few hours of playing, what are your thoughts on this? I bought the much cheaper Nova Go acoustic because of this but it's great and I'm still curious about getting a Sonic at some point
@aminorerror7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and giving the channel a sub! My experience hasn't been that and I've spent quite a few hours using the guitar (that should be pretty obvious from my demo track too). Maybe they've changed the quality of the frets or some other people aren't the best at using a light touch when playing (that goes even more so for bending). The zero fret on this guitar is the component I'm most skeptical of lasting. Strandberg uses a higher quality/harder stainless steel fret for their zero frets and they still have problems with them wearing (although all of my 'bergs have been solid).
@Vadim_Andr.4 ай бұрын
the same frets as on the vast majority of guitars. But why did you decide that only on this one the frets would wear out more?

I just received mine 2 days ago. So close to sending it back BUT after adjusting the neck, downloading the app to tweak the factory settings and just getting used to this thing, I LOVE IT! Man it just grows on you with a little patience. Straight through my amp it's a challenger to my other (expensive) Fenders and Gibsons mainly because of the light weight and fantastic feel. Add to that, I can through it in my golf cart in any weather and play to backtrack through my Iphone this thing is a KEEPER!

I was so going to buy this untill I heard that putting the in guitar amp vol to anywhere above 50% will result in perpetual feedback. I wanted to be my GO TO travel guitar + using it for small cafe open mic gigs/ busking but considering I can't crank up the volume without that jarring vibration has left me truly sceptical.....I have other standard guitars but needed dedicated ones for the travel companion......I'm now eyeing the blackstar carryon guitar with a portable GTR fx pedal/headphone amp like the mooer prime or nux mighty plug pro..... Really hoping someone debunks that excess feedback thing on this go sonic so that I can pick one up
@aminorerror6 ай бұрын
The feedback is only an issue on high gain amp tones and it's def not designed to be loud enough to be used for an open mic gig. This is for bedroom practicing volumes only, thanks for watching

If you were more involved with guitars and sound, you would understand what feedback is and wouldn't write such nonsense.

Beginner guitar to traveling professional? What the F does that mean?
@aminorerrorАй бұрын
Great instrument for a beginner just getting started and doesn't want to bother buying an amp just to give it a try. Great guitar for back at the hotel room, green room or backstage warming up, because it's got a built in amp. Common sense, that's what the F I mean.
@sloebone7399Ай бұрын
The amps and pedals are so simplistic, mostly stuff I’d never use. There’s Vibrato and Tremolo and Delay but no overdrive or fuzz or distortion pedals of any kind. The only distortion comes from two (virtual) knobs labeled “pre amp” and “presence”. There’s a “high gain” channel with nothing to control the gain. Lookin at the guitar, it’s got the on-off button that’s a volume knob, 3 inches away from that is another volume knob then the amps have their own volume knob. That’s THREE volumes! Who designed this? If you plug it into an actual amplifier, that would make 4 volume knobs. The pre amp knob is basically another one, so that makes 5 ways to set the volume. Yet no overdrive pedal. It just doesn’t seem like anyone put much thought or effort into this.
@aminorerrorАй бұрын
Thanks for watching, not sure how much experience you have with guitar, amps and effects but you're pretty off base and all the volume knobs are there for specific reasons. First, you only use the built in amp volume knob if you're using...the built in amp. Second, the volume knob on each amp in the app is there so you can volume match all of your patches: get a clean tone to match the volume of a high gain tone with out there being a huge drop or boost in volume when changing between the patches. Third, the pre amp control is the gain/drive/distortion control, not a volume control. That's how you can get an overdrive tone like you're talking about wanting from a drive pedal. There is also a tone stack where you can shape the tone's high's, mids and low's. I do agree that having an overdrive pedal to push the amp into extra saturation or shape the tone going into it would be great as a metal player but not something that everyone would need to use. In the end, it's actually a fantastically well thought out package for practicing on the fly and it's not a half bad regular ol' beginner electric guitar. Rock on!
