I don’t think we have to blame the coach everytime we don’t win. Sometimes it is just a tough game and that’s it!
@lukebashian5591Ай бұрын
Agreed 100%, I think Felix and veiga should’ve come on but I don’t understand micro analysing every decision a manager makes, at the end of the day we didn’t win because we didn’t create enough and that’s on everyone, not just the manager

@ I think we are just addicted to coach blaming at this point.
@terryli1783Ай бұрын
I think this is a game where we should be happy with 1 point. Really tough game. We kept clean sheet when we could’ve lost. This is a game that a huge target striker would make a big difference in
@jamesscdowАй бұрын
Possibly that he didn’t fully trust the defence so in a way the midfield and attack were also our defence in terms of shielding the backline. If we changed the attackers perhaps it made us more likely to concede as score?

This sympathy and sentiment for Jackson will do Chelsea in.we need a proper striker.count the number of 3 yarders Jackson has missed this season . A proper striker will put away those chances and win us those matches.

You want a proper striker to score tap ins lol? 100m on who? Oshimen to score tap ins lol
@lukebashian5591Ай бұрын
Same fans who hate on Jackson would go on their knees to spend 100m for osimhen who has scored 7 non pen goals in 11 games for gala in the Turkish league, yet Jackson’s 9 non pen goals in 15 in the prem is the problem?

Agree Maresca got it wrong. Should have brought on Noni for Sancho and moved Neto left. Veiga for Disasi to move gusto to the right so he can offer more support to Palmer and the right winger by either inverting or overlapping. If that’s still not enough you bring in Felix for Neto to play more inside and create an overload centrally and give more space to the likes of Palmer and Enzo who were clearly struggling with the compactness and physicality of their midfield. Letting Sancho who struggled to beat a 39 yr old young and was largely anonymous finish the game was criminal. Only way I can make sense of the subs is he wanted to stay as defensively solid as possible to avoid a late set piece catastrophe

I agree that we missed Cucurella. His more effective pushing up the left adding greater impct on the oppositions defence could have made the difference in this game.
@calvinh.4682Ай бұрын
I agree with most of what you are saying. We really missed Cucurella we truly mussed his intensity and his movements especially after he inverts. Gusto does not master when he inverts and gets in and around the opponents box. Was surprised that Verga wasn’t even on the bench along with George A. The wind was a huge negative factor too though. I still would like Sancho to be even more direct than he has been as a strong tendency to over-dribble the ball. Well Maresca has to get back to getting it right on Boxing Day with a win over Fulham. Btw my MOTM was Sanchez.

The game was very tough. we thought the Brentford game was going to be the tough match but Everton's own is the toughest
@LFM-ug2vrАй бұрын
Dont see reason to criticise the manager, was a tough game regardless of what forwards you bring on. 0-0 isn’t a bad result today we take the draw and clean sheet and move on.

They played Everton. Maresca knew what he was facing. He had a week to prep for the game and more so saw how Everton played Arsenal and should of known what to expect and make the necessary adjustments, but he didn't. It lands on the manager here. Some players should hold fault but ultimately Maresca should had set them up to win.
@Seanself363Ай бұрын
@@ivano8391a week to prep? They played on Thursday. Furthermore, they played Everton? And? Do you think managers always have a perfect gameplan to win every game? Everton actually had chances to win the match. You don't need to go full 120% to win every game especially when you have many games every three days coming up. We drew. It's really not a huge deal. As an aside even if he did get it wrong maresca, he will sometimes. Pep, klopp, tuchel all get it wrong.
@ivano8391Ай бұрын
@@Seanself363yes he had a week to prepare. Why do you think a manager has his assistants for? He may have had a game midweek but he still has to prep for the Everton game. Also, he had the "B team" playing Thursday so no excuse there. The players looked lethargic and Maresca had them set up to stay back more instead of pressing relentlessly. They don't have to go out and win every game but at least show effort in trying to win and they didn't today. Also please stop drawing comparisons. Maresca is no where near the levels of those managers you mentioned. You sound like a modern day chelsea mutant with throwing comparisons so please refrain from doing so.

Mate, I played a footy match today in a ground close to Goodison. When I say the wind had a massive effect on the game's quality, It is not said lightly. The amount of times you couldn't take a corner or free kick today was laughable in my game. So imagine in Goodison. Poor conditions, defensive physical tactics made the game what it was.

@ApexAcaАй бұрын
He got certain details wrong. People are saying he should have subbed Sancho, i don't think he should have started him in the first place. Sancho needs a full back to support him. He's not physical enough. Combination of Neto and Madueke would have been better because both can cross and that could have created more situations. He did get certain details wrong but as far as he'd assess this, he seems happy.
@jamesscdowАй бұрын
Why do we not have a back up left back? To me that’s the top target beyond goalie and striker. Would have been sick to have not sold maatsen. Either way we need a gusto for cucu’s spot.

Maresca did not get the game wrong. Everton did what Everton do at home. 10+ of their games this season have ended 0-0 or 1-1. You dont get mamy chances at Goodisen end of. We created enough chances to win the game and did t finish our dinner.

That'd probably be too much. Totally agree with the Sancho one but with Felix on we'd be more prone to conceding attacks as he runs at defenders which increases the risk of losing the ball in unwanted situations and creating overturns for the opposition. Veiga could have been more influential especially with his long passes and that could have added a bit more variation but it was unrealistic.
