Hello Leszek, As you know, beerstone is a complex mix of mineral and organic residues (precipitate of calcium oxalate and proteins). Therefore, it is important to combine an enzymatic cleaning step with an acid one. The enzymes contained in ENZYBREW 10 will degrade the organic compounds and the acid cleaner will dissolve the minerals. In case of beerstone, we recommend you the following cleaning procedure: - Rinsing with hot water - Circulation with ENZYBREW 10 at 2% dosage (2kg for 100L) for 40 minutes. As reminder, for standard cleaning, 1% dosage is sufficient. - Rinsing with hot water - Circulation with a phospho-nitric acid product (according to supplier’s instructions) - Rinsing with cold water - Sanitation step (PAA) Once you have a solid, visible layer of beerstone in your tanks and if the above procedure is not sufficient, you will need to extend contact times, dosages (according to supplier’s instructions),… In case of hopeless situation, alternate manual scrubbing (with an appropriate scrubbing pad) and chemicals circulations… As usual, "prevention is better than cure » and regular cleanings with acid cleaning steps are required to avoid beerstone build-up.
