It had gone a bit better for some of the EN Hololive PSO2 streams. Seems that it hasn't caught hold of that market like FF14 had, so much more difficult to flood them. Seems players were more chill in the hub area as well, primarily showing off their outfits.

@@Magicannon_ Well considering you have a limit to like a max of 20 people in a zone(some even less). Don't really have to worry about mobbing. In town was really the only place you could get mobbed, but you barely spend any time there while playing. (I think the town had a limit as well, haven't played in like 3 months so don't remember anymore.)

In PSO2, you also have something like 100 zones to search for in a server if you want to stalk a streamer. Kiara's Wow classic stream was also an exception. Not many people were able to find her, but the ones who did kept a respectful distance from her character and only interfered when asked to help.

People should realize that the only thing they will accomplish by mobbing a streamer like this is them not wanting to stream that game anymore. So you get your minute of "Hi mom I'm in youtube next to my oshi!" moment, risk getting banned because this is a bannable offense, and very likely cause the oshi in question to never come back. Ina confirmed that after watching what happened to Pekora it reinforced the idea of not streaming it. She's willing to help anyone who decides to stream it but she won't be streaming it herself.

@@leolionheart3982 Irys is going to stream FFXIV today. I checked her chat just now. People are excited but concerned that the Asmon/Pekora experience will repeat itself. Square Enix needs to be more proactive. Have GMs on the spot to ban people in real time. It’s pure toxicity when someone like Pekora, who was so excited to play FFXIV, but people ruin it for her. All this when thousands are watching. If I was thinking about playing FFXIV, I’d ask myself “why should I? Look at all the assholes ruining Pekora’s experience!!”

Thankfully IRyS didn't have the same issue. I don't know if it's maybe because her subscriber count has not reached Pekora's million count or maybe due to this initial stream by Pekora that others in Hololive found out how to hide the server name and the like, but for now IRyS was able to play on-stream and did not encounter the same obstruction of play. Hopefully Pekora can try again and the trolls (I refuse to acknowledge these clowns as fans) can have fun doing this on-stream.

The rules are universal and have been updated recently to be even more clear as to what is bannable. I figured our Japanese cousins would be more mature and well mannered, Guess not. Every FF player knows doing stuff like this would get you banned. Sorry this had to happen for Pekora and her fans. :(

These are more likely to be nousagis, the followers of Pekora. Her pranks and antics attract people with similar attitude. I am not really that surprised after seeing her TF stream. However, there could also be antis who just want to mess with her.

@@rainbowprism6242 Eh, the TF2 stream went great. Of course, almost all the people where Pekora resides is full of nousagis but they still played the game normally and she had a lot of fun. There's not much sniping (well, that one spy in the enemy team but he gets a pass since his goal is to only scare pekora and not kill her all the time) but there's still a alot of acceptable trolling which made the stream fun. However this is different because it's just obstruction, annoyance and there's no fun at all.

The stream snipers in this play session of Pekora isn't Nousagis, the Nousagis are some of the chillest fanbase ever, they only tease and bully Pekora through the livechat, but when she actually invites the Nousagis, the fans are quite well behaved, look at her Team Fortress and PUBG sessions, sure they are trolling her during the lobby phase while waiting the game to start, but once the game actually started, the Nousagis actually helped Pekora around the game and the game become fun both for her and her fans. This act alone prompted for Pekora to actually collabs with Botan in a custom 50v50 match Nousagi VS SSRB and the Zombie Siege, and the next collab featuring Towa in Halloween game mode, some nousagis did stream snipes but since Botan and Towa is there, two of the best FPS shooters in Hololive, they are dealt rather quickly, the game ends fun and the girls finished 2nd place FF14 folks, please, if your favorite streamers is playing your game let them stream in peace, this one is a bannable offense, and sure enough some of you who can't play today until the next week probably are the ones who obstructed her to have any fun in a game

Yeah Perspective is a huge thing here. If you are a Hrothgar/Roe all your mount will be scaled to your character size. A max sized Roe mount can but upwards to 8X bigger than a Lala using the same mount.

@@TheBongReyes In the first clip there were a ton of sprouts aka new players so I do believe a lot of her fans made accounts specifically to do this. I did notice some mentor crowns which to be honest for every good mentor there's like 3 mount chasing assholes. But unfortunately Hololive JP has to deal with scary parasocial idol culture. Which is incredibly toxic and unhealthy. Like if the idol is seen outside with a man people start mailing her dead animals. It's just so hush-hush and covered up by their entertainment industry that it's not well known outside of Japan.

I see it as a good way to weed out the players you don't want in the game. SE can and will put bans on people that do this. Though 90% of them will be temp bans you only get perm banned if you have done multiple offenses. It does serve as a wake-up call to these people.

Depends on the streamer. How big of a streamer you are. Asmongold & Pekora are at the top of streaming. But then, you got someone like Rich Campbell who welcomes this type of crowding and mass gatherings. Plenty of well-known WoW content creators who have switched over to FFXIV who gradually were able to play the game w/o stream snipers and assholes. I’m assuming Irys will get the same Pekora treatment when she streams FFXIV later today.

I don't think there were any bans this time, but I think she mentioned that she would have to record usernames to hand over to her manager next time. From there, they'll be reported to Square Enix to hand out bans.

There will probably still be bans, mobbing like this doesn't only effect the streamer. It can pretty much effect anyone on the server. So there will be reports just from random people who have no idea what's going on, as well as people trying to just help Pekora out from the distance watching all the people bothering her.

It takes them a while to dole out the bans, as the GMs investigate relatively thoroughly to check if a person was just passing through there or following her for a long time. Back then it happened to Asmon, it took about 3 days.

@@DranCh Yes and no, Depends on how many reports are in for the same name and/or people already provide videos directly showing the person in offense. With a large scale it can take some time, but I've also seen bans happen minutes after reports. This scenario in particular would definitely take time though. I'm sure some people that followed Asmon day 1 got banned shortly. I can't be 100% but I'm pretty sure there were some people from the team watching Asmon's first time playing and could easily see offenses quickly. But after full dive research when they started doing left and right temp bans is when people got loud about it.

Pekora has to do a ticket and then the countdown of the people that has been bothered her during the stream will face consequences that they have brought upon them self, especially just like that one guy with the whale mount from the game store who bothered Asmongold. Hope she reconsider to stream the game cause the ToS is at her side and the In-game Support team is awesome as they really value a player to have good time and take swift actions wen someone gets disrupted and harrashed, There will be gms that will monitor trough her gameplay when she streams.

I am not sure how other games work but in FF14, your main way to interact with monsters or objects (e.g. switch maps, quest etc.) is to click on it to target, so if that many players are around their hitboxes will simply be blocking them and make streamer can't click on the stuff

His first stream of ff14 had over 2 million unique views so there was no way he was getting a normal experience. A lot of decent size streamers 2-10k consistent viewers had some people following but it wasn't like this. This stuff generally only happens to the biggest streamers; all known streamers get sniped but they generally don't get mobbed.
