EOTECH ClipNV-LR Overview

Well I owe Eotech an apology. The large black bar that's visible on the left side of the ClipNV-LR at low magnification is not a defect but rather a standard part of the scope, something called a fiber optic tab. In the setup I tried, it is no longer visible at 4x magnification. The technical manual does not mention this but it probably should. That issue aside, which is only present at magnification below about 4x, this is a great scope. The housing is light but feels incredibly solid, the battery compartment is easy to open and close but seals well, the image quality is excellent, controls are intuitive and easy to use in complete darkness, the mount is robust, and the optical shift caused to the daylight scope reticle was negligible. Significant glare from exterior lighting in urban environments. EOTECH needs to provide a “sunshade” to resolve this issue. Otherwise this is a very clear unit and so far has worked very well.

What is the stand off height from rail to center of the optic. Ie, what ring height puts my optic right in line with it

1.5-ish depending on the objective lens size. You can runner 1.93 or 2.26 mounts as well and put the NVG on a riser.

It's EOTECH night vision, not sure what you were expecting. NV is an insanely expensive upgrade no matter where you're buying it.
