I lived on a Ranch in Georgia back in 93-95' back when I was 13-15 years of age, I was a pretty small kid maybe 115lbs soaking wet. This Ranch had a lot of Black Angus cattle and they would sometimes become victims of Coyotes. Anyway, one day a buddy and I decided to go camping back in the woods at this Ranch. We pitched a tent, had a fire going and eventually went back into the tent to sleep. My buddy feel asleep pretty fast, I on the other hand stayed awake and endured a pretty horrendous night due to a pack of Coyotes right outside our campsite. At the time being only 13 year of age (maybe 115lbs max.) I was scared shitless.. I thought any moment those Coyotes would tear our tent down and proceed to attack us. I didn't wake up my friend just endured the living nightmare myself. The Coyotes eventually took off but they were there for hours and I've never forgot that night. Anyway, a one shot kill is the most humane way to take care of this problem. It's can be hard to watch as we humans generally have such a close relationship with dogs (I have a ~ 10lb Long-haired Chihuahua (Micky) whom I love to death) but you got to do what you got to do when they are killing your livestock.
@sol1dbas3d992 жыл бұрын
I had a similar thing happen in Alabama. Went camping on a friends property. There was a bad storm coming and we could hear the coyotes howling then eventually coming to the campsite. The wind knocked the tents over eventually. With my friend being injured before the trip, he gave me his gun and asked me to fix the tents. First time holding a gun too. If it wasnt for the hot women that were with us on this trip, i probably would have shat myself lol. Man that storm hit hard too, making the thought of coyotes and bears much harsher everytime the tent swayed lol.

Technically not nightvision. It's thermal vision, so things that emit thermal radiation (like a person's body releasing heat) will show up brightly on screen while things that don't emit thermal radiation appear darkened. Which is why the cows and coyotes stick out as a bright white color compared to the field, shrubs, fencing etc around them. You can also use these during the day time whereas nightvision is completely unusable during the day as it over-brightens everything to the point where you're just looking at a bright blurry screen

If he has the money to get thermal vision, then he has the money for other things like better fences, a guard dog, etc. Don't excuse this act. The fact that these many wolves/coyotes popped up shows how no effort was put into better fence security. This guy enjoys harming animals for fun.
@domination19852 жыл бұрын
Sounds like someone doesn't know how cattle fences work you can't make them too high because you still got to let wild animals through them you can't just put them up like at a zoo because your fences are regulated by law

I used to do wildlife rehab as well as domestic animal nursing so this makes me a little sad because I love animals and I have this unrealistic desire for every animal to live its best life somehow but I understand the need for protecting ones property. It is generally good environmental practice to prevent coyote overpopulation for the sake of both wild and domestic animals which is something the fish and wildlife services has had to do themselves very often. I really appreciate that most of the shots on this video were clean...thanks for not shooting the owl on tape. I would have cried. If you haven't yet read the description on this video please do so.

I like the fact that you wait for a good kill shot instead of just spray and pray. I used to live in farm country and the farmers all said they don't like having to kill them but its a necessary part of farm life. that's why not everyone can be a farmer. there's things that happen on a farm that's straight out of a horror film. i wish i could unsee some of it.

I have seen through night vision, many times, coyotes surrounding a cow and her new-born calf and she desperately trying to fight off the pack. When she would turn to address one, the others would close in on the calf. They would turn her around in circles until she would get tired. A lot of calves are killed this way, especially on big ranches where its difficult to watch them all.

In 20 years of living on a cattle farm, growing up, we had coyotes maybe once, bother a calf. Unattended dogs were a bigger problem. The coyotes did clean up the carcasses of already dead livestock, but were never a significant problem to the live ones.
@Triple_J.12 жыл бұрын
I've spent several years worker in the plains of CO and ND & MT. Several ranchers have informed me that Coyotes are really only a menace to their Cattle at berth, where they will kill the partially born calf and also can and do kill the mother in the most brutal and F'ed up way imaginable. When Coyotes get to numerous they actually starve and spread diseases like mange, and die in a much less humane way naturally. They also are a prime vector of rabies and you end up having to put your pets down if you don't shoot them. A friend of mine grew up in NM and his sister had her face bitten off by the neighbors dog, which had contracted rabies and gone missing for nearly a week, then showed up at their place and she tried to call it or pet it. She was only 9 or 10 and nobody knew what had happened to the dog. She survived but had an F'ed up face and gained several hundred pounds in adulthood due to self esteem. So, kill the coyotes. Its better for the environment and the world.

the people who dont understand what life means will never understand this . they just love killing.. they can get a good fence but they will spend all money in these so costly bullets, super thermal cameras, and guns but they will never use a fence.. these people love killing and they are not doing to protect their cattle as you can see many coyotes were killed on the same dead body.. it means it was planted.. they are doing it for youtube to earn money and they like killing.. dont worry one day what you do to others.. you have to suffer.. when one day their kids will get shot by someone they will understand how good is painless death.. coyotes killing stock coyotes are bad.. the person killing coyotes no he is not bad.. human evolved in an animal.. same as coyote who loves killing just for their pleasure.. coyotes kill for hunger as a pleasure they kill for youtube videos and money as pleasure.. no difference in them.. i have been in a farm for several years a normal fence can protect all the stock from these predators.. never saw any coyote or wold crossed that fence.. which they are unable to do.. people are seeing it as satisfying.. when it comes to their life they start the campaigns saying this life matters or that life matters..
