Just watched a 25 min video with not a single shot thru the sight. And here you put that in like the first minute, thank you!!

@zmija1891 you're welcome! There is also an eye relief demo at the end if that helps.

Make it FFP and you’ve got a real winner.
@TheRealXrayDoc7 күн бұрын
FFP has worse illumination than SFP but I'd prefer that for an LPVO than on a 3-9x.
@fians47937 күн бұрын
@ I don’t care for illumination on a scope like this, I want FFP so the reticles holds are accurate at all magnification levels. For hunting it’s unnecessary, but this scope would be brilliant in a run & gun if it was in FFP, especially with its form factor and with a top mounted red dot.
@johnadams6736 күн бұрын
@fians4793 you can just do holds....

@@TheRealXrayDoc illumination high end brightness isn't that important on magnified optics. It's only really important if you're shooting at range in low light like dusk/dawn. Most people have caught on, and especially on this optic that a red dot should be paired with it to be your bright easy to use 1x. The benefit of FFP outweighs the brightness level in most cases.
@Chonkasaurus5 күн бұрын
On the TFB TV interview Eotech said they're planning on an FFP one and alternate reticles as well.

This optic is best for 3 types of use cases: Pest control within 100 yards on a short, light build. Like a P90 or CP33 or 10/22 charger. Backpacking/survival. Think plane/boat survival rifle or multi hour hiking up in elevation. Those running short setups with a thermal/NV clip on infront (and/or a LAM). It's a niche optic that people either don't understand or realize it wasn't made or suited for them. Marketing is marketing. For this size and weight, there are PLENTY of compromises they won't tell you about. This the case of choose the cake or eat it, not both. A vortex PST 3-15 is the same price and will run circles around this optic, simply because it's not trying to hit that size and weight. I'd wager even an athlon helos btr gen 2 2-12 or a swampfox kentucky long 2-12 will have better glass clarity and a deeper FoV.

Love this idea but they need a BDR in it
@Robert-cd5zr6 күн бұрын
Definitely needs to be FFP, I don't need daylight bright rocking a daylight bright optic on top, I need my BDC to work at all zoom ranges. Is the eyebox at 9 decent compared to a 1-8 / 1-10?

Yeah I want it

Put an ACSS-style BDC reticle with wind holds or a mil grid Christmas tree in it and we're talking.

I might be in the minority but I see this as a great addition to my scout rifle over AR use, the idea is great, but I'm not sure this will improve on the features of an LPVO, or have the capabilities of a really good 2-10

@@compulsivegunbuyer an acog is 14.5 ounces. The lightest lpvo are around 17 ounces PLUS a 6-10oz mount. This is 16oz with a mount. And you can shave an ounce or 2 with a lighter mount. The weight it actually incredible
@GldenRetriever2 күн бұрын
@@johnadams673 There are much lighter LPVOs than 17oz. The VX-Freedom 1.5-4x is probably the lightest LPVO at 9.6 oz. They said it was 16oz including the mount? If so, I missed that.

Most high-end optics are made in Japan or Germany. This is a mark that it's probably made by competent specialists
