Not many composers can make me feel the way that Yoko Kanno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, or Joe Hisaishi make me feel

Japanese people have something special in music that no other country/ethnicity/race have. That may sound dull... almost "rascist" but... it's just the way it is. They're so different.
@MrDaiohAzu8 жыл бұрын
Also if you like Yoko Kanno, Sakamoto and Hisaichi, I suggest you to listen to Koichi Sugiyama's works.

Yoko Kanno...THE best composer i have heard in my entire life...all i ever listen too...no lyrics needed when the sound of instruments say all there is to say

The artist was a European artist who specialized in painting American landscapes of the Old West. Add them to music and it is breath taking.

Ana Maria I do. It was Yoko Kanno's "Garden of Everything", but that music is also has an enigma on its essence. And by the night i broke my laces with my beloved. I sing "polovetzian dances" for her before i vanish into a memory. Closing the circle of the Garden...

Yes, it's very deep. Also the voices of Steve Conte and Sakamoto, Maya really helps it intensity. But the mind behind that song is still Miss Kanno.

Yoko Kanno has composed so many brilliant songs for the Nobunaga games, it's a pity they aren't more well known in the West. Some of the music is absolutely brilliant.

This song makes me feel in a way that I can't describe, I don't think I'll ever get over the melancholy and nostalgia that comes from it and always gets me, everything about it makes me want to live the moment of that other time, the touch, the wind, the city, the songs, the exchange of glances, the food, the clothes.

It's so beautiful and touching, that if I cry it would take away my sadness and troubles.. TT^TT Some parts of the song remind of Hayao Miyadzaki's Princess Mononoke
@juliahenriques2109 жыл бұрын
Kris Sokolova :) Actually it's Mononoke Hime (1997) that slighly resembles this (1994). One can argue that she was influenced by Hisaishi, but who wouldn't?
@TheRedAnthem12 жыл бұрын
Why bother categorizing her music, except that is original, powerful, and beautiful. Most composers like any other artist study lots of different schools, etc. its kind of like saying only that artist does oils when they may do mixed media, because they love and enjoy all the medias. Her music is divine, thats enough for me.

A ambição de Nobunagá. Rei demônio do Sexto Inferno. Ele sonhou com um Japão uníficado com Sangue e Metal. A flor do Vento marca a triste verdade. Somos todos como pétas de Sakurá. Esperendo o momento de desfalecer e minguar. Tudo é Vaidade.
