SubhanAllah.. When he said in regards to the concept of the brave new world, to maintain control thought pacificism than the speaker mentioned ".. making worldly pleasure available to everyone.. " - Istidraj, pop out from my mind as mentioned in Qur’an verses - The ultimate wrath of Allah, unleashed to Qarun, and pharaoh. Naudzubillah, these people who wrote the book definitely know what they are talking about.

SubhanAllah.. When the speaker, says I don't have anywhere to go except mall. I think one of the lost legacy of masjid this day is library, an open access public library, a safe quiet place where people can actually read, associate reading with spirituality, and have a syeikh available at the same masjid point, someone to ask discuss thoughts that perhaps maybe disturbing, stuck etc. Most masjid in the ancient Islamic time have halaqa, the type of halaqa circle of knowledge where debate, knowledge is discuss as an academic discourse and not just a place where the syeikh speaks, and the jama'ah listen or only speak when given permissions.. - one way interaction. We should revive this for a positive start.

Khalid needs to expand on why he thinks America is the future ???!

Mainly because it's such a young country and isn't bound by a long history. In America if it works it rises to the top; there is a search for spirituality and meaning in this country that's almost always been here. Theosophy, the hippy movement, eastern spirituality, the new age spirituality it's all indicative of a search for meaning. America isn't perfect, but it's gotten a lot of things damn near perfect, for example, religious freedom. I believe America could come to understand Islam as it was meant to be eventually. If America were to ever embrace Islam, fugghedaboutit, it'd ignite an era of prosperity and advancement like never before seen in history. The limits that exist elsewhere don't exist here.
