Hi Mayank, Service now is used as a ticketing tool to raise documentation requirements. Ex: Raising offer letter request, hike or transfer letter request. Warning letters or Performance Improvement Plans can also be documented on employees behalf. You may formulate categories like Talent management, Performance management, Disciplinary actions, Benefits, Data Management and so on and so forth. In short it would help you receive a response from the backend HR team on the HR operational transactions. Regards, Juliet Lobo 😊

Hi Juliet, Absolutely a very informative video. I have subscribed to your channel. I, although, had a doubt about what could be the roles of a Specialist as Associate HRSS. And mainly, will it include Employer Branding? Thank you.

Dear Surabhi, Thank you for subscribing. HRSS is basically operations or backend side of HR. Here you would get in data related aspects.. it can be generation of office letters, promotion Letters, settlements documents or updating data example can be updating employees name and so on. Now, let's understand where all you can support. Onboarding: Vendor management for completion of BGV, offer letter generation, employees compliance for completion etc. Shortly.. u understand the manual task that you are working on and can accordingly support automation. Ex.. inspite of taking online joining forms, you can work with technical teams to generate onboarding tool 🔥 this would add value. Also, welcome letters can be automatically sent by technology intervention. So.. u understand how things can be made smooth for employee and try to automate or smoothen process which intern increase employee experience 🔥 Roles can be listed as below: Onboarding specialist Off boarding specialist supporting employee exits Compensation specialist Training support or training governance HR shared service specialist Compliance support BGV specialist HR analytics etc. You get backend knowledge about HR so in future you can also be part of HR specialist group like Compensation and Benefits, Strategic HR or HRBPs, Total Rewards etc. Employer branding is portraying organisation in a certain way to attract talent in market or show your organisation specifics to globe. Ex. Your organisation may Target benefits provide like work they are doing for CSR, Women employees, LGBT+ Community, Mentoring or Coaching programs, Campus hirings, Innovations, works they are conducting for community etc. This would help them attract talent and minimal cost as folks would apply on website. Existing employees would also be proud and respect their organisation. It also leads to leadership sustainability etc. Hope you understand the fundamentals.. do share this video with your friends and family 😊 Best wishes for your HR journey Regards, Juliet Lobo 😊

Hi, I've applied for a new job as an HR Shared services advisor. The job description provided by the company did not explain everything thorougly, so that's why I came here to educate myself. Do you think this is a good career or good job to have? Thank you.
@julietlobo0002 жыл бұрын
Dear John..in case you are in the early stage of your career i would highly recommend to go ahead with the opportunity of HR operations as your HR processes and policies get formulated indepth. Later, once you reach your mid career, you may explore HR technology or strategic HR roles by leveraging your HR operations knowledge. Accordingly, I would recommend proceeding with the opportunity and best wishes on your new role 🔥🔥🔥

@@julietlobo000 Thank you so much for the advice! That's correct, I am in the early stage of my career and this is an entry level job also. For that reason, I assume they will provide me with training and comprehensive learning along the way, to consolidate those HR processes and policies like you've said. I always had an interest in HR as a business area I wanted to work in, but was not sure what "shared services" was about. Thank you once again; I will go ahead and take the job then.

Dear Prasad, This is an emerging field wherein basis the work or projects you get assigned in, you may be centre of excellence in those teams. This may include: 1. Total rewards, 2. HR analytics, 3. Onboarding specialist 4. Off boarding specialist 5. HR digitization and transformation 6. Employee data management specialist etc. Over the years due to domain expertise, you may also drive HR projects and may also be a potential candidate for HR BP or strategic HR roles. Best wishes 😃 Regards, Juliet
