I'm super glad you played Life is Strange Before the Storm before Life is Strange 2 because if you had played Life is Strange 2 before LIS:BTS than you probably wouldn't remember much of the information that is connected from LIS1 to LIS:BTS.

I personally found out of all the LIS games up to wavelengths (newest one at the time of commenting) that before the storm was actually my favourite, I know it’s not about cool superpowers or the stuff most people like from the games, but since the first game I was infatuated with Chloe and all the talk of how Rachel was before she went missing, so when this game came out I was thrilled to finally meet Rachel, and see what Chloe saw in her.

Bruh, I actually paused the video and thought "you know what, I'm gonna text both my parents right now and tell them everything". So I texted my mom, saying I'm sorry I'm a disappointment sometimes and that I don't say "I love you" back to her. She responded with a bunch of crying emojis and hearts ❤ And then I texted my dad, saying that I appreciate him and love him both as a dad and my friend. He is one of my best friends and I love hanging out with him :3 We have a bunch of things in common. He answered and said that he became all warm inside reading my text and that he never could have asked for a better daughter and friend

This story resonates so much with my own. Homelessness at 18 when I was WAY too sheltered and naïve for it didn’t go well, I was seeing nasty stuff. I found Life is Strange halfway in and started writing this fan animation thingy, getting all obsessed and I haven’t even played (benefits of story-driven gameplay: your choices matter, but if you don’t play yourself, you still get the full experience!) I talked about it all the time when I was on the streets, then I got a home out of the desire to keep myself safe and healthy enough to animate one day… and I started to try reconnecting with family once we had chilled out and I was able to be out of survival mode enough to keep my sh8t together when talking to them. Holy heck dude I relate to this. It’s weird how something so small and insignificant can literally save your life AND keep you alive long enough for your world to change entirely, if you’re *just corny enough. My “you’re so cool that it brought on my family’s redemption arc” comment was on a video of Hannah Telle’s, the song Hollow Glow. I got embarassed and deleted it, but I wish I could have kept it up there bc holy heck, you’re doing the exact same thing and it’s not at all weird or embarrassing. I’m inspired by this. Thanks for not giving up. Massive respect. ❤️‍🔥

I love that they made a game with Rachel. You see her and see her story then in Life Is Strange you can sort of feel what Chloe feels for her in a way. Some people said they hated Rachel, because she just used Chloe and was a b**** for being with Frank on the side. I guess I can see it from both sides. People have also said they hated Chloe, because all she did was put Max down. I can also see that from both sides.

I love it though, because it shows that everyone is flawed, there's also reasons for everything if you look at it in more depth *spoiler warning for people who didn't play the first LiS game* • *Rachel* - was hanging out with more people, espcaping her family life after everything she found out with her dad, knowing her whole life was a lie and she was kept from her Mother for so long and lied to, all the scary stuff that happened to her, including getting stabbed..and all the stuff she went through, she wanted to escape Arcadia and tried everything to get out of there, which is why I think she faked a relationship with Frank, she probably felt like crap about it but was using him to try and leave the bay, stuff was rough for her there, she loved Chloe but also was a free spirit and very troubled. • *Chloe* - Chloe was fairly nasty to Max, but Max abandoned her, just after her dad died, she left and didnt message or call her for 5 years and Chloe built up resentment as she had abandonment issues, especially because her dad died and then felt so alone, she turned to getting high and hanging around people she shouldn't, she became more bossy and put a gaurd up to protect herself, she was done with getting pushed around or hurt by other people and that was her defence mechanism • *David* - David has potentially got ptsd and struggles with being a war veteran, he lost some people close to him in the war and was traumatised, struggling to reintegrate back to society and it's also why he's so strict and rigorous, because it was drilled into him, he cares about his family (Chloe and Joyce) and struggles expressing himself fully sometimes and just wants to be a good hushand, yes he can hit Chloe, which isn't okay at all, but none of the characters are perfect • *Nathan* - Even Nathan, he has an ab*sive father who groomed him to do exactly what he was told to to the point that the stress got too much for him, he had a lot of pressure from his father and the bullying he was getting at school, he became ill (mentally) developed psychosis (which i have had, I was diagnosed with first episide psychosis and I was so deeply ill, so I responate with Nathan, it's so hard and can really warp your perceptions of things at times, I was even on two of the same meds that he took ((I've been on so many)) xanax and risperidone or was it vallium that was in his locker? I don't remember, ive been on that too lol but anyway, Nathan was a victim of ab*se and bullying and was groomed by Jefferson as well, used and threatened, he was under so much mental duress and was also acting out in anger, he put his own barriers up to protect himself and we know Jefferson gave him excuses to do what he did and played it down to him, he didn't realise what he was doing was as bad as it was, because Jefferson justified it to him and love bombed him and manipulated him, in the phone call in ep 5 where he's sobbing on the phone to Max trying to warn her and apologising, he says he never wanted to hurt anyone and he said "Jefferson just used me!" Like it all snapped in his head, because in ep 4 when he sees Max and Chloe in the dorms, if you don't let warren beat him up, he says he's going to get his "dad" and we know he meant Jefferson, but when he got back to his room, he realised his phone was missing, he probably went to the bunker and realised that Jefferson saw the surveillance and realised what was going on to happen, so he freaked and warned Max and Jefferson probably k!lled him when he got back to the bunker with Max (the voice message was sent at 9pm and he likely died just after that) he was alive at the time of the party but probably didn't go because he was likely in the bunker trying to figure out what to do and warn Max...and then Jefferson came in with unconcious Max and he saw what happened and was probably devastated and he k!lled and buried Nathan before Max woke up ;-; also Nathan had diet pills, some people suspect that he had an ED because it may have been one of the only things he felt like he could control in his life, Jefferson was forcing him to buy the dr*gs and Nathan was scared of Jefferson, especially from how much he threatened him, but he also really craved validation, I have a soft spot for him... sorry for how much I've written lol • *Jefferson* - theres no justification for him lol Sorry for my novel! Im still so passionate about this game and I love it so much! ❤
