खिन्नी हम लोग पचमढ़ी में बचपन में जगंलों में खाये हैं,इसमें गोंद जैसा चिपकता। है खा कर होंठ चिपकाते थे और खोलने पर थोड़ा ज़ोर लगता था, बहुत याद आ गया बचपन इसकी बहुत अच्छी लाठी बनती है,बहुत चिकनी डालों का पेड़ होता है,60 साल हो ग‌ए मुझे पचमढ़ी छोड़े

खिरनी कहते हैं ?शायद आगे पचमढ़ी में एक और सफेद छोटा सा फल इसी तरह का जंगलों में पाया जाता है,उसे "चुन्ना" कहते हैं ,ये पचमढ़ी में ही खिरनी, चुन्ना, और छोटा किसमिस की तरह "जामुन" गुच्छों में पाया जाता था, सड़के नीली हो जाती थीं इतनी मात्रा में झड़ता था,छोटे छोटे "आम" से जगंल भरा होता है अभी सीजन है|
