This is about PhD Student V.G. at Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge University. She is a member of St. Edmund's College.
She is interested in Late Antiquity, with special reference to pre-Islamic Arabia. Her Ph.D. is focussed on the natural continuation of her M.A. dissertation in Islamic Studies, entitled “The Pre-Islamic Milieu of Arabia. An Inquiry into the Jāhiliya and the Rise of the Latest Abrahamic Religion”.
It will emphasise the composite late antique milieu of the Arabian Peninsula, and attempt to construct a coherent historical narrative out of our fragmentary sources.
This is one of the casual talks in the series of Cambridge Vibes with Aseesness and delving into their social and academic life.
