This was so Cute !! ! We recently lost our 11 year old Boston to illness and cannot imagine not having one in our family so we've found a puppy who will be ready to come home in a few weeks. Any advice on getting them to sleep through the night and not crying the whole time? It's been a long time since we had a puppy and I'm a bit rusty on all that. How about potty training, any advice? Your boy is just beautiful and I know he will bring you such joy !!

thank you so much for your comment! I know what you mean about the house not feeling right without a Boston. our 15 year old Peanut died about a year and a half ago, so it was time to make an addition to the family. we were in the same position you are - it'd been so long since Peanut was a puppy, we couldn't remember what we did in the early days! for Jackie, we started crate training the first night. he cried for a long time and we felt awful about it, but we knew it'd only be really bad for the first few nights. he probably cried for about 20 minutes and then went to sleep. over the weeks he's cried less and less before going to sleep, and last night he didn't cry at all! with house training... we're still working on it, lol! it took a while for him to figure out what we wanted him to do when we took him outside. I'll let you know how it goes! good luck to you!

@@alliebays Thanks so much for the reply and the information. Just one more question: Did you put your beautiful puppy in the crate at night in your bedroom or another room ? I've heard mixed info on that and just want some REAL LIFE advice. I'll be checking your channel for updates on Jackie. Love that name by the way!!! We've decided to name our little girl Harper.

we put his crate in the laundry room because that's where it'll be permanently and we wanted him to feel like it's his own area. but we also set alarms for a few shifts in the middle of the night to go down and grab him and take him outside to pee. as he's getting older and able to hold it longer, we don't do as many shifts. I think Harper is a great name and I can't wait for you to get your puppy!
