I personally would not call it harassment. The staff was courteous - yes they did take time to check through your passports and visas, multiple times. But they were courteous at all times. They finished everybody else's processing before finally doing yours, so that delays wouldnt happen. And also they held the bus to wait for you. They probably werent accustomed to a passport/visa situation like that and so they did their due diligence. I wouldnt call it harassment. Maybe a delay. But not harassment. :)

@@techholidays8560 might be. But they should have an alternate and speedy method to resolve such issues. The issue is not limited to Peach airlines. It can be found everywhere with multiple airlines. As a traveler we can't do anything to resolve such issues, so the airlines/countries should find a way to solve the problems within a short period of time so that it doesn't cause any inconvenience to that traveler and the people waiting behind him. I face the same type of situation every time I travel to India or the gulf country. Full of checking and question really fed off. The reason behind this is I traveled to Iran for official work( 2017). But Still, they ask several questions, and need to wait for more than an hour to get my boarding and immigration done. We can't say it is harassment but it's a safety procedure every country and airline follows. We need to respect and obey the rules.

Okinawa is a small airport, they might not have dealt with such a special travel permit scenario, that's why they took a long to process it. It always takes longer in japan when dealing with a new thing. Narita or Haneda would have processed it much quicker

You kept on referring to Taiwan as China. But Taiwan is under independent rule, and a separate country, though China claims it's a wayward province. Taiwan's official name is The "Republic of China". China's official name is "People's Republic of China" (PRC). Most of the countries have no diplomatic relationship with Taiwan, fearing Chinese reprisal. Taiwan used to be a technology giant like Japan once upon a time.

Wrong to call it discrimination. Since it was a regional airport, the staff might have not had prior experience with an Indian passport holder traveling to Taiwan. If for any reason you were deported their careers will be affected. This would not have happened if you had flown from Tokyo.
