I love your story, I’ve been lucky enough to meet you and speak many times on other platforms so I known already what a great , kind ,lovely ,thoughtful bloke you are but when someone does something like you have just done it really reinstates my faith in humanity. Popped over to mash monkey and subbed and looking forward to watching what the kit gets up to next. I guess it’s great to get some space back. Andy, can you do a session on your cask conditioning process, I've followed your adventure, but looking back on old KZbins, I cut seem to find any. Interested to see how you carbonate and the difference between you keg and cask. Now following mash Monkey to see how that progresses

Great update, glad the new kit is working out especially on your time. Don't suppose a 4 beer full range mixed 12 or 8 pack would be on the cards, say for Christmas (as I will be back in Sandbach for the hols)

At what pressure do you carbonate at in the kegs

Temperature dependent, and if I’m selling them as kegs or canning from them. I gas them a bit more for canning as we lose some fizz in the process. Currently 24psi and about 12 celcius. I leave them a couple of weeks.

Andy, Can you give a rough idea of size of brew area. Hopefully in a nice metric format. Looks about five meters by say ten meters for roughly 50sqm?

rent them from keglogistics mate. We rent for about £1.60 plus vat per container per month. No big outlay, just a £5 deposit on each.

Great idea with the old gear. Hope it produces more nice beer and gets passed on again. I was wondering about your use of refractometers during the process. Do you use a wort correction factor calculation. Just wondered whether your readings are accurate?

We use a temperature correction formula for a quick idea with hydrometers, or temperature tolerant refractometers. For the final HMRC measurements we only take them with wort/beer at 20C anyway.
