D. Subbarao, a former governor of the RBI, had very rightly written a beautiful article on how the IAS as a service has become a symbol of mediocrity, corruption, and red tapeism. The fact is that British had introduced ICS as a means to find people who wud serve their interests. 75 years later, the IAS is still a service that is not there to serve the people as it is supposed to be a public service. They serve either their own interests or the interests of their political bosses. To top it off, the irony of the selection process is that during the interviews, the interview panel wants to hear that you want to serve the society or the country as a whole. How can a service wherein the selection process is based on such hypocrisy be expected to be in the interest of the public. Saying that less than 5% of the IAS officers selected are honest in the truest sense of the word would not be an exaggeration.

मेरा देश महान यहाँ पर ना जाने कितने मेहनत करने वाले युवा लाचार मजबूर और असहाय है कितनी तड़प है उनकी जिंदगी मे कैसे वो असफल होने पर अपने माँ पिता के सामने नजर नहीं मिला पाते जबाव नहीं दे पाते और रिश्तेदार पड़ोसियों के सामने हँसी के पात्र बनते है और सबसे बड़ी बात आजतक एक भी नेता मंत्री ने इन युवाओं में इनकी सिसकियाँ इनका दर्द जानने की इनके लिए आवाज उठाने की बात नहीं की मेरे देश का युवा खून के आंसू रो रहा है उन्हीं मे से एक मे भी हूँ जो कि कहीं का नहीं रहा मेरी जिन्दगी मौत से बदतर हो गई है है अब तो माँ बाप ने भी मेरा साथ छोड़ दिया बीबी की भी रोज सुननी पड़ती है और मेरी बेटी के लिए भी मे कुछ नहीं कर पा रहा हूं हमारे देश में ये रिश्वतखोरी कब खत्म होगी कब कोई हमारी भी आवाज उठाएगा जितेंद्र पाल 😭
