Thanks for the . My question is this What if I bought at 10%pa for 364 days. And government later change the rate below or above 10% before my 364 days expire. Is its gonna affect the one I already fixed. Or not. Patiently waiting for your reply Thanks.
@danielabiola29944 жыл бұрын
I doubt it, once your rate was set any changes after that shouldn't affect your investment. But if you change your mind to sell before the end of is tenure you may lose some money. Please I'm not an expert just a personal opinion.

Spring Bank and Guardian Express Bank, please Tomie what will you suggest that I can do. Thanks once again and hope to hearing from you.

Hello. You're welcome. Re; your shares in the two banks you mentioned. I know Guardian Express Bank merged with other banks into Spring Bank. and Spring Bank was taken over by the CBN and renamed Enterprise Bank. Recently, Heritage bank acquired Enterprise bank so , most likely your shares are now shares of Heritage Bank. Please reach out to a stock broker to do a search for you. That would help

@@Tomiebalogun. Just to give you the update. I got reply from Heritage Bank saying I have to contact (NDIC) Nigeria Deposit Insurance Coporation. But I have sent them an email and hoping someone will help otherwise I will have to find a broker as you have advised. Thanks.

@@koalsam1494 I do not think that's the right institution to contact. The NDIC is the right company to contact if you had cash deposits in those banks that have been acquired. But you can go ahead and also make sure you contact a stock broker for help

Greetings! My question is regarding transparency. Now that I have to go through a commercial bank to buy T-Bills from the primary market, please how do I know or confirm whatever details they give me, how do I know which T-Bills and it's rates exactly they invested in on my behalf, how do I get all these info to be able to checkmate them and be sure I'm not being cheated or surchanged?

Hi Tomi I heard a firm say they recently offer 14.2% on mutual funds, told a colleague who said it's impossible that mutual funds are usually pegged on the ongoing treasury Bill rate. Is that true. Can you enlighten me please
@ijeomankwonta66405 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the enlightenment too. Never knew you could liquidate treasury bills before the tenor ends
@Tomiebalogun.5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's true. You need to ask what the underlying securities for that mutual fund are. If it is a money market mutual fund, it may be pegged to an average of the rates on securities in the money market. A treasury bill is just one example of a security traded in the money market. I hope this clarifies
@_toonex4 жыл бұрын
so you are saying 100k for 91 days (a quarter of a year) will be... 10% of 100k which is 10k divided by 4 quarters (cos there is 4 quarters in 1 year) will pay me 2500 as interest for 100k in 91days. mbok... I better go an invest this money in buy and selling of rice. I can make 2k from each bag in 1 week I would have made more.
@Tomiebalogun.4 жыл бұрын
Lol... that’s why it is a safe investment. Low risk. Low returns. You can invest and go to sleep. You can’t do that with rice trading.
