For your Basic Bed Socks I wanted to suggest that if you have sock blockers, you can let the socks air dry on sock blockers to be sure that there is t too much shrinkage in the foot length. I never block my socks - I wash them in the delicate cycle and hang them to air dry or lay them in the sun. If I had socks made with Icelandic wool I am pretty sure I would use my sock blockers. It’s just a thought. I love the color of your and the mohair added to toes and heel.

I know your charity knits are mostly for adolescence, but if you like the Oslow hat, you should try the Cinnamon Beanie. It’s a free pattern by Drop Studio. It’s my new fave for hats/gift knitting! Only 2 sizes, but it’s free 🤷🏻‍♀️ Uses DK weight, triple brim, and they added a nice interior ribbing that I think really helps make the sizing more flexible. Anyway - love your videos! Love your knits! Love your color choices! Love everything!!!

I suggest not even frogging your turtleneck! Just knit the new one from the old one gradually. It is so satisfying to see something new come from something old/unwanted. I am doing that right now myself!

What a fabulous idea…I’m sitting here looking at my first cowl which is beautiful but too tight. I feel better already. Thank you!

I would frog the sweater too. I totally get what you mean when it just doesn’t fit the way you want it to, there’s no sense in it just sitting in a drawer. I’m a tiny person, but I love my sweaters to have lots of positive ease and be cosy comfy. I love Cascade 220 as well💖! It’s a great yarn at a reasonable price☺️

Agreed! Fit issues can happen at any size, and if it doesn't work better to frog then just live with it! Thanks for watching!

So funny, I saw @Knicoleknits video regarding selecting sweater sizes a couple of days ago and she specifically mentioned that inner voice and advised not to ignore it 🙈 Oh, but we all have, haven't we... You could knit the inner part of the folded over collar without the mohair, so it wouldn't give you grieve even if it touched your neck? I've done that with extremely rustic, scratchy wool - knit an "inlay" with soft wool of the same colour - and it worked great!

Yes! Sometimes I definitely get caught up in the progress knitter mindset where even if something feels off I just keep going. Should always listen to that inner voice! Great idea for the collar! I hadn't thought to have just the wool touching my neck - should knit a swatch and see how it feels by itself. Thanks!

I so understand what you're saying about the turtleneck sweater! Sometimes it just doesn't feel right on your body! I'm glad you made the right decision for yourself :) I think it looked great on you btw, but I imagine the fit type just wasn't what you were expecting, so I support it fully!

Thank you! It’s a little disappointing, but I’m looking at is as an opportunity to turn that beautiful yarn combination into something I love to wear ❤️

Another good video! You inspired me last week to start on my charity knitting so I decided to knit a two by two ribbed hat in Coffee Beenz by Plymouth yarn - about 1/3 of the way done. I also inventoried my yarn and set a goal of stash busting this year. However, two of my very generous children gifted me some beautiful yarn so I have started the year going the wrong direction! Sorry you had to frog your sweater-I hate to do that. However, you would have never been happy with it. looking forward to your next episode. Nancy

Hi Nancy! That's so wonderful you started a hat for charity! And what a nice gift from your children! You have almost a whole year left to work on your stash down goal, so a little extra yarn this time of year isn't too bad! Have a wonderful week and thanks as always for watching!

Hi, I was just watching a couple of videos from you and even though you are not mentioning the stella quilt cushion, I guess it's still on your needles. I wanted to suggest another option for the closure. Don't you thing you can do the flap and changing the order of assembling it, so that the flap is in the middle of the outer layers? I know there are existing store bought pillow covers like this and in Germany they are called like " hotel closure". Hope that makes sense to you😂 Not the best in explaining things like that...

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm getting back to the quilt cushion this week and I hadn't considered having the flap on the inside - would solve the problem of not wanting to show it and not having to do a zipper!

Thank you for the idea regarding charity knitting. I was just wondering how I was going to work that in as it is something on my list for 2025.

The past two years I've been knitting primarily for a local senior center that collects children's winter coats and accessories and then distributes them to the areas with the most need in our community. I'm actually working on a video all about charity knitting that I'll be releasing this week, and it has some suggestions for more US national charities, and some ideas on how to find a good charity for you!
