I get the feeling they have been shooting at empty air. Remember, the Red Smoke induces Hallucinations and waking nightmares if it does not immediately knock out the victim... And since we haven't seen Alex Swap out his Respirator's filter, we have to consider that being down there and constantly being exposed to the Red Smoke meant Alex's Respirator filters have been compromised by the smoke. He basically was breathing in Red Smoke in finer doses, not enough to knock him out, but enough to make him hallucinate. Sniper Fox is likely in the same Vein. His face mask can only filter so much Red Smoke before it stops filtering altogether... And since Stone Mercenary isn't a Spartan-III, his Armor isn't rated for EVA activity, meaning it does not have built in air supplies, and that also means his filters were compromised from long-term exposure.

Also, he likely wasted quite a lot of Red Smoke in trapping the fighters in a hallucination and making them waste ammo fighting non-existant enemies. This was likely why Catnap slinked off to rest in the previous episode. He is trying to recharge his Red Smoke Reserves.

I think this is an Illusion induced by the Red Smoke. Remember, it does _Not_ just induce sleep. It also induces vivid hallucinations and waking nightmares. Nightmare Catnap doesn't exist, instead being a hallucination made by the memories and fears of the PPT Player character. One can also note that we don't see anyone else who _weren't_ in the Red Smoke joining the fight. No sign of Pomni, Caine, Mario, Sonic, Peppino, Boyfriend and Girlfriend entering the fray to help their friends. They are notably absent from the Skirmish. This means the "Return" of their foes? Illusions made by the Red Smoke.

...I get the feeling it all turn out that they are hallucinating these enemies, and have been wasting ammo and effort shooting at thin air. Remember, Red Smoke has halluciogenic properties, and the "Nightmare Catnap" is basically a product of the Victim's fear of Catnap. He isn't real. What is more, Catnap doesn't have a Cloning ability, and was the only one of his model, we _SAW_ Ms Delight perish under a steel door with her face smashed off by Mario shortly before (Meaning she shouldn't have her face if that truly was her), and you cannot exactly shrug off a fragmentation grenade when it goes off inside you... So how is it that we see them come out of nowhere? The answer? Red Smoke-induced Hallucinations. It becomes even more notable when you see that while the Fighters saw a _Compacted_ cloud of Red Smoke that never seemed to touch them, when Catnap escapes out the door BF and GF were at, you see the Cloud has filled the _entire_ room, with the gas leaking out the doorway Catnap barged through. This means from the Moment Alex screamed "HOLD YOUR FIRE", was the moment the Fighters were under the influence of Red Smoke.

Because I haven't seen Sonic, Mario, Caine, BF and GF, and this episode seems to focus on the group that were locked within the chamber where Catnap gassed them with Red Smoke... I wonder how the rest of the Door-Crew are going to react at seeing the Fighters running around wasting ammo trying to fight non-existant enemies? I mean, it is too convenient that out of nowhere, we have an Unblemished Ms Delight (Who was crushed under a heavy steel door after Mario smashed her face off), Dogday (blown up by a fragmentation grenade), several Mini-Critters (Ditto) and of course, the Nightmare Catnaps, who only exist as a hallucination... This feels like there is a twist for the next episode.

I think the crew are just hallucinating. They got gassed by the red smoke and are seeing not only Clones of Catnap, but also Catnap in his Nightmare form... Which is not Catnap's real form, but rather, a form created by both fear and memory of the main player character of Poppy Playtime. This means the Minicritters didn't magically revive, but rather, is all part of the hallucination. Also, Ms Delight was killed by the steel door, and not long before that, Mario smashed her face off... Yet she was there to throw Sniper Fox down a flight of stars, with her face magically repaired. This whole fight scene was done under a hallucination. The cast are likely shooting at empty air.

...The fact of the matter is, "Nightmare Catnap" is supposed to be an _illusion._ He doesn't truly exist and is a Hallucination generated by the Red Smoke and the PC's own memories of Catnap twisted by Fear. That means we have been seeing Alex Spider and his crew wasting ammo shooting at non-existant enemies in an otherwise empty room. I mean, while Alex has his Respirator, he hasn't once changed the filter the whole time he was down there, meaning the Red Smoke has compromised the Filter. We also have not seen it from the perspectives of Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Mario, Sonic, Peppino, Caine and Pomni's, who had _NOT_ been influenced by the Red Smoke Catnap unleashed due to being outside the gas radius (With Mario getting his Pingas slammed by the Sliding door), implying that Catnap hasn't actually surrounded the rest of them, Miss Delight hasn't reappeared, and the Critters (and Dogday) are not attacking the crew. What is actually happening is that they are currently shooting blindly at empty air and stumbling about, and likely looking rather silly... I wonder how that will look to everyone else when Sonic gets the Door off Mario's Pingas? And I wonder what the look on their faces will be at seeing their usually serious friends running around and shooting blindly at empty air like complete Lunatics?
