My first newly built sohc KA started knocking within 500 miles. I understand the ugly feeling. Sent the whole vehicle, rather than pull the engine, back to the machine shop (since engine work is warrantied 12k miles) and they said my transmission was pushing against the crank slightly and eventually caused wear/knock. They fixed it (I just paid labor to remove engine) and all has been well for 1300mi so far. After my paranoia settles a bit, I'll be turbocharging it as well. Good luck with the engine!

Don't give up man keep on doing your thing! Definitely way nicer then most of what's out there, sometimes there's set backs but in the end it'll all be well worth it, you'll have the quality build that you wanted. By the way dope plate! Look forward to keeping up on this beautiful build!

When head is decked too many times or too much material taken off you may have needed thicker head gasket to be in spec

I have raceland últimos for my e46 and I plan to pair them with cheap maxpeedingrods camber plates do you think bout it from your experience. I seen a few videos and it seems like a lot of work I have to do to make them work
