Excellent analysis and interview. John Spencer's perspective is much needed in the ongoing narrative of what the IDF is actually achieving.

It has been surprising during the Israel-Hamas war how few American military or ex-mil professionals have shared their experience and expertise. The media doesn’t seem very interested, despite what must be a wealth of knowledge.

You're right. Patreus and a couple other retired generals have spoken about it, but not covered in the US media, I read them in Israeli media. For instance Patreus said of course Israel had to go into Rafah, but who's going to touch that when the administration was pushing so hard against it.

Thank you, Mr. Spencer! Thank you for coming to observe the truth, doing the proper research, and reporting it. We know it is no easy feat and not popular at all. While the propaganda machine is powerful and widespread, and we feel like all is lost, at least we have these few but critical voices using their expertise to share the truth. It's small but so significant. And, to note, we wish no civilians had to lose their lives, especially in the horrific way they have in the brutality of this war, but we/Israel, are genuinely trying to do our best in such a difficult situation. We are aware of the global hate and condemnation. And if even one of them is listening to you, then that's enough for now.

Excellent data. thanks. A few points missed though: a) The goal of destroying hamas is motivated not just by the 10/7 attack, but by the years long campaign of rockets at israeli population centers. b) Related, the war in Gaza is taking place

Yuval Green, a 26-year-old reservist, said the IDF is utilizing Palestinian homes for military purposes and that soldiers take “souvenirs, vandalize the homes, and destroy things for no reason.” (Jerusalem Post, 7/24/2024)

Whoa, E-7 _before_ becoming an Officer. I really hope this host doesn't change topics every time John starts to drill down. I've listened to several _Spencer interviews,_ & hosts keep asking questions like they have ADD. And I really want to drill down on TUNNELS. How the IDF find them, how they clear them, how they can destroy them ... etc. And of course, discuss the dirty tricks Hamas engages in to create video that maligns the IDF ... like firing down civilian corridors to make it look like the IDF is attacking retreating civilians. The one thing that's annoying is that John is either shockingly ignorant of Russia's goals in Feb / Mar 2022 (get Kiev regime to negotiating table ... which they succeeded on doing in Turkey) ... or he's deliberately supporting / propagating lies for some reason (when the media already doesn't a good enough job).
