EP 14 Exploring Thai food in Delhi at Bercos

We visited the Connaught place branch of Bercos in Delhi and enjoyed the following food items.

Thai Red curry
Pad Thai Noodles
Thai Basil chicken
I enjoyed the flavours of Lemon grass, Galangal ( termed as Thai Ginger), host of vegetables in these dishes.
Over all i noticed that Thai food has extensive use of coconut milk, Galangal, Lemon leaf, Galangal, Basil.
Bercos has its Connaught place branch in E block, this is the place i visited.

That's most probably Bird-eye chili paste. In Thailand, traditionally this is what often used in preparing authentic Thai Red Curry.

Yeh chef thai cuisine ka abc bhi nahi janta woh jisey fresh red chilli bol raha hai woh actually bird eye chilli hai bahut expensive hota hai.Aur har dish main veg broth powder dal raha hai pagal hai .....

Way of preparing food is different from real thai. I was taught by a Thai cooking teacher, and cook a lot of thai food at home. We eat a lot of Thai food at restaurants also. Also watch Mark Weins videos reg that food. Never seen anyone using Maggi sauce. They dont use much soy sauce, but fish sauce. Rarely is galangal and lemongrass used like tadka. They are usually incorporated in the curry pastes. What is used is Krachai, normally available pickled here.

Thai Cuisine is one of the best considered in terms of Freshness. Coconut Milk rules the dishes . I’m so happy to see that the Chef has given proper respect to the dishes he prepared. The use of fresh ingredients, spices , Vegetables is the main element to enjoy Thai cuisine. Because this cuisine is famous for spicy dishes , indians love to eat. I’m talking about here in America.Its good to see Thai Cuisine is becoming famous in India . Next time try Panang Curry .

Whenever you get a chance, after Covid comes under control, plan a trip to the Maharashtra's Konkan area like Hari Hareshwar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Diveagar. It's of great historical importance with nice food and serene beaches. You may also extend you trip to Murdeshwar in Uttar Karnataka area. The drive along the coastline is just fabulous.

But jab bhi aap Delhi me hote ho, you can explore other cuisines in Delhi like - Thai, Oriental, Burmese, European, Arabian etc etc. Delhi is a hub of many good food joints covering world cuisine - Big Chill, Khan Market mein bahut saare Would love to see that coverage too.. isi bahane Delhi me kitni variety hai.. wo bhi dekhne ko milegi... jaise aapne Old city bahut achhe se cover kiya h.. ab ye wala concept explore kariye..
