How-To for corrugated metal for scale models, and avoids chemical reactive more dangerous methods. It is not difficult if you follow a simple process, but the final result will looks like you have a complicated process that no one can duplicate! This works for any scale, or any structure, and can be adapted for vehicles, etc. We also discuss adhesive alternatives as well.

Tips:
- Normally corrugated material was 27" wide HO scale. Cut to 8' or 10' lengths, or as needed.
- Multiple light layers of weathering is better than one brute force attempt.
- Tape several pieces to a piece of cardboard and work on several, or many pieces at once. Working on 20 uncut strips at once is a good idea.
- Brush Pan Pastels on lightly and blend before cutting strips.
- Spray with dullcoate or similiar, and expect to see dust partially disappear as it soaks into the dullcoat. That is why layers are better built up slowly. Often multiple layers are needed.
- Only cut strips into needed sizes as you work on a project. Save unused strips for future projects.
- A new one sided razor blade in a chopper tool is much easier than scissors or X-Acto blades.
- Trim windows and doors holes with sharp blade.
- Cut edges can be "painted" with paint pens or permanent markers. My go to tool is a black Sharpie marker for just cut edges.
- Light gray and dark rust panels can be mixed together to represent repaced panels.
- Either draw lines on the walls and roof, or use seams on wood to help keep panels straight.
- Take your time, and if a panel doesn't look good, rip it out and toss it. Making mistakes is normal, just don't keep them on the model.
- The more you practice this method, the better and faster it gets!
