*BLESS YOU SWEET SWEET MAN* After 40 minutes on KZbin finally here you are showing EXACTLY how to set this up! Thank you !! I just got mine and I'm so excited. Going to have three of my four dogs connected. Looks like a very durable and high quality unit. Thanks again !

I cannot tell you how happy we are with this product. Our pups love it and it makes our life much easier when camping. I’ve only been to 1 or 2 places that didn’t allow it. I mean think about it, if they allow hammock straps then they should allow this. It is holding up well over the last two years as well.

Folks, Gimpy Camper is the one who turned us into the Rover Roamer. We meant to mention that in the video but overlooked doing so while we were filming. Check out his channel on KZbin!

Mark, nice video demo. You covered what most of us would want to know about it as well as showing how to put it up. I’m a little tired of my tie-out line. My dog inevitably twists it around the picnic table or under our trailer wheels
@GrandAdventure4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, Tim. This way, lateral movement is controlled along a pre-defined path, with no horizontal element in the lead to get tangled.

That’s a good setup. I like the locking carabiners and that you tied off the tail end of the rope with a quick-release knot, very tidy.

I just purchased this system today after watching your video. I'm tired of hauling and installing portable fences around my RV and my dogs always seem to get tangled up on leashes. I tried picket lines, but they limit their movement too much. Since I have two large active dogs, I ordered 100' line so I would have more set-up options. I also ordered a second pulley-carabiner-bungee for dog #2 and an extra line tensioner. Thank goodness I already had shock absorbing leashes and well made harnesses to attach the leashes to. I'll report back on the Rover Roamer performance after I've had the chance to try it out next time I go camping.

This is a great system. I've previously used rope systems for work and, after looking at this could create it myself. However, why bother? This system is great with quality components. We purchased enough equipment to create a three dog system and wrap it around multiple trees to create separate dog runs. I can vouch for this system and actually wouldn't have a problem with the biggest dogs out there. Thanks Marc!
@GrandAdventure4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, Rich! We too looked into building it ourselves, but it would've cost the same (or even more) than buying their system, and as you noted it comes with quality components. So happy that it worked for you too!

Came here for the info; stayed for Zoe. What a cutie!! Thanks for your review of this product. Looks perfect for our Maisie and Sophie. Happy camping!
@GrandAdventure4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Zoe definitely has her own fan base. 😄 For Maisie and Sophie, you'd rig this up with a third attachment point, like two sides of a triangle in a "V" configuration. Each dog would get their own run, but they can still interact with one another at the tip of the "V" without getting tangled with one another.
@betterbythemile7704 жыл бұрын
@@GrandAdventure Perfect, thank you! How did Zoe do with one end attached to the ladder? We'd like to make our RV one of the attachment points, but I'd be worried about causing any damage if they pull.

Thanks for the great review. You are 100% right that you'd be hard pressed to assemble all of the components yourself for much less. I set up a similar system for two dogs since I was seeing close to $175 as the price tag for a two-dog system. How much did I spend when it was all said and done? About $160. I should have just bought the system, LOL. Just tried it in the yard at home, can't wait to take it camping! Happy trails!

@helenmallazzo70944 жыл бұрын
Marc, Does the Rover Roamer come in different lengths depending upon the dogs size? So smaller dogs get shorter lengths and a cheaper price? Or in my case for rotties and shepherds which would cost an arm and 2 legs. Lol
@GrandAdventure4 жыл бұрын
Helen, the length has nothing to do with the size of the dog. It has everything to do with how long you run you want to create. In a campground situation, we couldn't imagine that we would want one longer than 50 feet. So that's the length we went with, and you can make it much shorter than that if you need to or wish to. The longer the length, yes, the higher the cost, especially if it requires a second bungee tensioner because of the length. You can go as long as 500 ft. if you decide later that you want a longer run, you can simply buy a longer length of rope.

Ha! Easier than in California! 😉 That's what makes this portable unit so nice. The straps merely wrap around the tree like hammock straps. Unlike a typical trolley line, it doesn't cause any damage to the tree.
