As a hotelier, I can say that if you have booked a room for 3 adults through a third party channel, and they have not mentioned that extra bed is added, hotel will provide you a room for 3 adl to stay together, but there will not be any extra bed *unless mentioned specifically in the voucher* . Here in your voucher it's a standard room with no extra bed. Regarding third party channels, they will only beat around the bush and say yes booking is for 3 adults and you don't have to pay anything extra but regarding bed, they will not say anything clearly. They are trained to manipulate pax. For your future travel, please note that 3 adults always doesn't mean that extra bed is added. It purely depends on hotel. Some provide extra bed for free and some won't.

This is Sujith's mistake for extra bed you have to pay If you dont want to pay then 3 adults and child can sleep in a bed. That poor staff has no mistake.He follows the hotel rule.😊

Pls note⚠️ This is not a lone case. I faced same issue when I booked through Oyo and here it is gobibo , when I reached hotel they asked me to pay extra money and this problem is there with other hotel booking app , so try to contact the hotel directly before booking and check the price with them, this problem repeatedly happened with me a lot of time , so I stopped booking through apps now I'm directly going there and booking the room , so keep this thing in your mind NXT time , Safe journey 🚙⛲

I think the room capacity is for 3adults with a single bed.. U have paid the amount for a room with single cot (weather it may queen or king depinding on price)..and the 3 adults were mentioned for the occupancy that doesn't meens u will get extra 2 cots.. In majority of hotels, if u want extra bed we have to pay for it or adjust with a single bed..

poor hotel guy was scolded very badly. Swetha using unparliamentary words for making them wait is not Okay...Yes, you may have many valid reasons to substantiate your behaviour. But, always try to picture yourself in their shoes before yelling "Bull Shit". In Malayalam there is a saying : " When Head is present, the tail shouldn't wag". We never saw this kind of retaliation in Ibis hotel-thailand, where u had a similar kind of problem. You knew very well that yelling at foreigners would land you & TTE in trouble. Pls. be patient & solve issues with your own countrymen in an amicable manner. Abhi never lost his patience, good job brother.

Your side is correct. They don't have any rights to ask for additional 1k for extra bed! Having said that you and Swetha reacted too aggressively and didn't handle the situation well. Again ur side is correct but still ur a tourist visiting other state with a child, you guys need to make sure you don't provoke them too much and they do something eventhough ur side is correct. Sujith, I think its wise to be a bit more calm when we are on the roads especially when you are with a child. Even shweta was being very aggressive. "Not a good idea". Either one of you must try to handle the situation a bit more softly. They are absolutely wrong but your fight raising both your voices will not do any good, rather it provokes the other person more. It was the fault of the site that you booked through. Get mad at them. The front desk worker is just an employee, he probably cannot waive charges without mgmt approval. At no time did he raise his voice. So why were you raising vour voice saying" I will call the police ,you are harassing a woman"??? That was uncalled for and very aggressive. You don't need to scream and holler to get your point across. I hope this guy didn't lose his job just because some KZbinr used his celebrity power, to throw a big tantrum and film it.

The receptionist is right .. sujith is wrong 3 adults can stay in the room on the same bed .. but if u need extra bed then that will cost u money or else .u need to book extra bed in the app which they have not done .. so the staff cannot do anything ...

It is not about the money but about the feeling of being cheated is more irritating in these situations. We trust the resort and the booking website and make the payment in advance and so we have the right to be treated with respect. Social media is so powerful and reactions like this will expose employees like him who end up spoiling the name of the hotel itself. It is easy to silently accept injustice for people with slave mentality but not for courageous people.

We had such a bad experience in Dehradun.. I have been there with my father n we booked a premium suite for around 6k in 2017. They made us wait in reception for about 15 mins at midnight, asking offensive questions even after checking our Id proofs and vouchers.. And after that they have allotted us a third class room in a building next to the main hotel where rats n insects were running around..and we had to fight like hell. They were doing this since we were from south india n brown skinned. They got shocked to learn we knew hindi very well while talking to them.. Still the receptionist was behaving crazy.. We refused to sta in the room given to us and I became furious.. We called out to MMT at midnight and I got the manager's number from Google. Luckily he was a good guy n He came over at late hours n sorted out the issue in a decent manner.. He apologized like anything n gave us so many complimentary gifts and asked us to not give bad reviews.. I promised him I won't say anything bad about ur hotel but I'll definitely write about the staffs n their racist behavior.. I think atleast premium north indian hotels should take care of appointing well trained staffs to avoid this kind of issues.. Anyway.. Hope u r all fine now.. Take care.. ❤

@@kavya123-f40They'll behave like this when you book online because they need to pay commission to already discounted price, I have similar experience with oyo but me and hotel management comes to a compromise that i will cancel my oyo booking and directly choose the room from there so the hotel management don't need to pay the commission to oyo and i got my refund

One thing is appreciable.. The person standing in the reception was keeping his etiquette and manners to the guest in his gesture and behavior pattern without getting provoked and irated..shwetha could have behaved little more standard in her way of talk..

Well said Sujith, Swetha and Abhi.. The hotel personnel needs to go back to school to re-learn customer care. An employee is the face of any institution and need to treat guests with dignity.. He should have thought about a mother, a sleeping child and tired guests. Could have deferred this talk to morning.. Timing and words are key..

Doesn't just mean people are getting rich , it means people have understood the value of time and how budgeted traveling in airplane is to train and more people are working out of state and out of country now.. Delhi Airport is definitely the best airport, it's huge so commute can be stressful and longer compartively thats it.

The receptionist may not be qualified to handle the confusion. Customer care should be prioritised in hotels. otherwise, to be fair the receptionist didn’t harass you. It was the other way around. I understand & speak Hindi very well. The guy politely expressed his confusion & disagreement in Hindi, he addressed you by nothing below “aap”. Infact you were harassing him by indulging in name calling, pointing fingers & verbally abusing him. Why call him mandhabuddhi, kann pottan etc in Malayalam? Would you tolerate it, if someone called you names? He’s probably just doing what he was told to do, his duty. He’s there to earn a living for his family. He’s probably afraid of losing his job too. You could have handled it calmly & not used the language you did. Don’t let the situation get the better of you, sujith bhaktan. The receptionist was extremely polite throughout, except that there was a misunderstanding, I didn’t find any fault in his demeanour.

he knows his job and was clearly denying it and this hotel have done this to other online booking customers as well for Money you can check their reviews... so whats your point? clearly they tried to talk it out nicely but was he listening or letting the manager talk to them ? no so what should they do stay ion the lobby after 18 hours of continuous travel with a baby?waste their money? wait till morning with the baby?

When u book for 3 adults..u are supposed to manage in the double bed..if u take an extra bed they charge u extra thousand..thats the norm..

I've seen a lot of comments saying that he should have paid the extra Rs.1000 to get the bed and ended it peacefully instead of creating the problem as he is capable of paying that money without any problem. That is exactly what the hotel is expecting you to do and that's how they rip you off easily. They know that some customers would pay Rs.1000 easily instead of going into the hassle of arguing for hours. But if he booked for 3 adult and a child he should rightfully get what he paid for. There is nothing wrong about raising voice for what you deserve

എന്തിന് ആസാംകാരെ കുറ്റം പറയണം, അടൂർ ഏനാത്ത് ഉള്ള മിഥുന ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ എന്ന ഹോട്ടലിൽ ഇതെ അനുഭവം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഏനാത്ത് ഒരു കല്യാണത്തിന് പങ്കെടുക്കാനാണ് നാലു പേർക്ക് രണ്ടു റൂം ഒരു മാസം മുൻപ് തന്നെ മിഥുന ഹോട്ടലിൽ ബുക്ക് ചെയ്തത് make my trip ൽ നല്ല ഓഫർ കിട്ടിയത് കൊണ്ട് ഈ ഹോട്ടലിൽ റൂം ബുക്ക് ചെയ്തു, പൈസയും നേരത്തെ പേ ചെയ്തു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുന്ന അന്ന് ഉച്ചക്ക് ഒരു കോൾ ഈ ഹോട്ടലിൽ നിന്നും , നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ റെയിറ്റിൽ റൂം തരാൻ പറ്റില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ്, ഞാൻ ഗോവയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു താമസിക്കുന്നത് ഇവർ വിചാരിച്ചു കാണും ഞാൻ മലയാളി അല്ലെന്ന്, ഞാൻ മലയാളത്തിൽ ചൂടായപ്പോൾ റൂം കിട്ടി. ഇത് ഏത് സംസ്ഥാനക്കാർ ആണെങ്കിലും പണി തരും.

I had a somewhat like this experience from Leela Kovalam.I had booked through Expedia..They cancelled the room few hours before I was going to check in. And they were telling Expedia cancelled it. When I called Expedia they were very professional and they told it was the hotel that cancelled and they offered me that will book taj in Kovalam and they paid the 4000/- difference….here if it’s the hotel policy the management should have mentioned that to goibibo…also goibibo should have helped you since you are one their privileged customer
