DO you not need a uca replacement?
@1stgenoffroad2 жыл бұрын
This truck has a bracket lift. The spindle is longer and an aftermarket UCA is not needed. But normally, I recommend an aftermarket upper control arm for any lift over 2".

@@1stgenoffroad what is a bracket lift and do you have a video on that?
@1stgenoffroad2 жыл бұрын
@@TheLotroNerd I don't have a video of that. I might give a walk around one day. It's where the lower control arms are dropped using a bracket. The spindle is extended and a taller shock is put in place. This change in the geometry allows for more lift.

How do I get this high of a front lift on a 1st gen sequoia? I have a 3 in spacer with 285/70/17s but I feel like I was already having trouble getting the shock and spring back in with the factory knuckles... unless this is the same height and I’m just special and don’t realize lol

This is a bracket lift. Between these shocks and springs, I'm sitting on about 6.5". If you only use the shocks and springs, you'l get about 2.5" max.

@1stgenoffroad5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, 6112s are too wide for Dobinsons springs. The 6112s come with a 650 lbs spring. If you’re looking for a stiffer spring for the Bilstein 6112 shocks, you can get a 700 pound Eibach spring here: www.1stgenoffroad.com/store/p265/TundraEibach700spring.html

The bilsteins say you can only add up to 1" of lift on 4x4 models, why is that?

Does the spring perform the same with the added weight of the tundra versus a 4Runner or Tacoma?
@1stgenoffroad5 жыл бұрын
Haven't done a side by side comparison. I do like it better than what I had before and better than my stock '06 Tundra.

Because of where the springs in located in the tundra vs. 4Runner, these springs will feel stiffer on the Tundra than they do in the lighter 4Runner.

Absolutely.
