EP-16 | 'The More You Feed China, The More China Will Bite You': Sikyong Penpa Tsering | Tibet-China
Hello viewers, welcome to The Gaurav Arya Podcast. In Episode 16, Major Gaurav Arya (Retd.) holds a discussion with Sikyong Penpa Tsering (Central Tibetan Administration) on the Tibet-China dispute. Mr. Penpa opens up on the Chinese occupying Tibet, the historic 17-point agreement & Tibetan history. He also distinguished between a 'FREE' Tibet and an 'INDEPENDENT' Tibet. While discussing an 'expansionist' China, Sikyong Penpa Tsering raises a significant point about hitting China economically and says that the world should come together and stop giving business to China. The presence of the PLA (Chinese Army) in owning Chinese companies is a big threat which Major Gaurav Arya discussed with Sikyong Penpa Tsering. India can play a key role in the Tibet-China Dispute, adds Sikyong Penpa Tsering. Watch the full episode now and subscribe to the Chanakya Dialogues English.

As someone born and brought up in Dharamsala, it’s impossible for us to see our area without Tibetans. They bring an enigma of fresh area and add a special charm to our land. We’ve always believed they are integral part of our society. We see them as locals and our own. For us someone from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi or any other part of India is an outsider but majority of people in Himachal would call Tibetans as their own people. We have deep rooted love and respect for Tibetan culture and people. HHDL is not only the spiritual and temporal leader of Tibet but he is also our Guru, our guiding light and our God. We wish Govt. of India starts giving Tibetans their due and equal representation now. We also want a free Tibet and see it as our own cause but, we wish that Tibetans should stay in India and have equal rights as long as Tibet doesn’t get freedom. Praying for the well being of our Tibetan friends, brothers and sisters. Long live the Indo Tibetan friendship. Bhod Gyalo Tashi Delek

Salute to Sir Major Gaurav Arya. Always excellent podcast. Everyone must watch. Tibet's ties with India are profound and centuries old, never had border police until China brutally annexed Tibet in 1951. Tibetan letters are based on Brahmi Gupta, worship of deities like Saraswati, Tara Devi, Ganapati, etc. are daily practices of Tibetans. Thank you, Major Sir and the people of India. I totally support Major"s input of moving CTA to New Delhi . Jai Hind, Jai Tibet.

Thank you so much Major Gurav for inviting the leader of the Tibetan Government in exile Sikyong Penpa Tsering on your show. Tibet always looked to India for its religion-Buddhism, poetry such as Kalidas. The first Tibetan king came from India. During the battle of Kurukshetra between Pandavas and Kauravas, a prince of the losing party fled through the Himalayas to Tibet. He was known as Rupati. The Tibetans asked him where he came from. He pointed to the heights of the mountains where he had come. The Tibetans interpreted that he had come from the heavens and made him their king and carried him on a palanquin on their neck. He was thus known as the “neck thrown king” and is regarded as the first monarch of Tibet. Tibetan CALIGRAPHY is based on Nagari writing of India. There are two different writings in Tibetan. 1) Tibetan scriptural writing is based on Brahmic writing and is called Lantsa. 2) The other one is used for writing scriptural literature. This is called U-Chen and is based on Nagari script. Both originated from Indian calligraphy. Besides, TIBET LOOKED TO BHARAT (INDIA) AS THE ARYA BHUMI (Holy land) WHERE THE BUDDHA WAS BORN. TIBETAN CULTURE IS AN EXTENSION OF INDIA’S CULTURE! India should give more recognition to the Exile Government. India should give more high profile to the exile Government. Thats is what it can do since India doesn’t want to take any action that rock the boat against China. However, the long term policy of India towards Tibet should be to RESTORE TIBET AS THE HISTORICAL BUFFER STATE IT USED TO BE BEFORE THE ILLEGAL OCCUPATION BY COMMUNIST CHINA IN 1950. ONLY AN INDEPENDENT TIBET WILL SECURE INDIA’S NORTHERN BORDER. IT IS VITAL FOR TIBET’S SURVIVAL AND INDIA’S NATIONAL SECURITY! Jai Hind! Jai Tibet!

Tibetans have to cross check-posts like Palestinians have to do in Gaza under Israeli occupation. The situation is so dire that since 2009, 160 Tibetans have committed self-immolation to highlight the inhumanity and oppression inflicted by the CCP! @@bld-cd6xb Tibet has been turned into a wasteland by communist China’s invasion in 1949/50-especially during the so called Cultural Revolution! Every monastery some of which are vast like cities were smashed and razed to the ground. The statues numbering in the millions were smashed, broken, mutilated and carted away to China! The ones which were made of gold, silver and other precious metals were stolen by the PLA and Chinese officials. The monasteries were not only the repository of Tibet’s priceless ancient architecture, scrolls and holy mani relics were burned down and every article was plundered by the CCP and sold through Hong Kong in the international market to get foreign cash! The holy texts of Kagyur, (Buddhas words) which has hundred volumes and Tengyur (commentaries to the Buddha’s teaching) which amounted to 200 volumes were made into bon fires! Tibet and its cultural artefacts lay waste just the rubble in Gaza today!

Indian govt should increase their financial support to Tibetan govt in exile. The Indian govt have reduce the financial support to Tibetan exile govt in last two years. And ask the Indian govt to include real history of Tibet in Indian education system. I am Tibetan born in India currently living in US. Most of the India don’t know much about Tibet History. And I also didn’t find it Indian history book. Appeal to the govt to include history of Tibet in education system and I am appealing Indian people to study more on Tibet history 🙏🙏🙏
