Institutions like the U.N. and WEF also affects what is going on in our governments world wide. I agree. I don't have a problem with the concept of "peer review", which is a necessary part of scientific research and academic publications, but I'm very skeptical about "fack checkers". It assumes that there is this small cadre of people within society who are superior and who can always be relied upon to be on the side of truth, impartiality, and correctitude . Who are those people? Who selects them? How are the identified? And who makes them into angels? Why are they inviolable and untouchable? There is no avenue to argue against a bad "fact check" nor to criticize the "fact checkers". I'm sorry, but when a "fact check" is done, it's done by a human being. I want to see the full name and qualificiations of the individual who did that "fact check" published alongside the "fact check". Don't give me this crap about an organisation doing a "fact check". Organisations don't "fact check" anything. People do, and they need to be subject to robust scrutiny if they're going to put themselves up on a pedestal like that.
