Ep 16 | Tough Love: Faith Healers and COVID-19 | Redeeming Truth
This is a conversation that must be had during a time like this. With the Coronavirus spreading rapidly around the world, many false teachers are capitalizing on COVID-19 as a way to spread false doctrine. If faith healers can heal, then why has Bethel and other prosperity gospel teachers closed the doors to their healing rooms? Why are they not out healing the sick, even before the government ordered lockdowns? Why are they not standing before the press with evidence that they can heal people from COVID-19? It’s time to ask hard questions and try to pull people out of harm’s way.

Angela Moreno Many do not understand that Jesus has already healed everyone and there is no one who should ever be sick since there is no sin or sickness if you truly know God. Christians get sick because the majority of them are completely ignorant of God’s truth and they do not understand that it is sin that is causing their sickness or disabilities. Many of them believe that they know scripture but the reality is that they are clueless about the Word of God and this is why they are full of sin and unbelief. So allow me now to prove why most Christians are full of sin and unbelief. When I tell believers that I know how to communicate directly with Jesus, that He has taught me scripture and sanctified my heart in his truth and because of this I can no longer sin nor do I ever get sick, the normal response from 99% of them is that they do not believe it. Most will even try to prove me wrong by offering their misguided interpretations of scripture and claim that a Christian can never stop sinning. This is when I normally just shake my head at their ignorance. Even though there is not one scripture that states that a Christian will always sin, the majority of Christians believe that they can never stop sinning. Now stop and think about this for a moment. A person who is claiming to be a Christian which means that they are supposedly like Christ who did not sin, is stating that scripture is relating to them that they can never stop sinning! There are more then a dozen scriptures that use terms like, do not sin, has died to sin, has ceased from sin, does not sin, cannot keep on sinning and cannot sin. All of these teams are used when talking about a believer of Christ but yet most Christians believe that they can never stop sinning. Are you now getting an inkling of why the majority of Christians will be spending their eternity in hell? Here is what most Christians fail to understand. Yes we are all born in sin, but this does not mean that a Christian can never stop sinning! Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and accept Jesus and His Spirit into our life. Once we receive His Holy Spirit we were then commanded to surrender our will to God so that we would allow the Spirit to purify and sanctify our heart in God’s truth. Sadly this is where the majority of Christians fail and go astray since they never allow this process to occur. This lost majority of Christians mistakenly believe that they will always sin and that Jesus will just keep forgiving them every time that they repent. So now think about this one for a moment! If you are a Christian who can never stop sinning then how can you possibly become an overcomer who is Holy and pure? Holy by the way means free of sin. “And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”” ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:15-16‬ ‭NKJV “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:48‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:5-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ HE WHO OVERCOMES WILL INHERIT HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH AND ANYONE WHO CONTINUES IN SIN WILL ONLY SEE THE LAKE OF FIRE. This explains why the majority of believers here on earth will never experience God’s healing or experience a sick free life because they are simply deceived souls who continue to sin since they do not understand God’s word and truth. So if you have not experienced the sanctification process of the Holy Spirit and you have not overcome sin then you are clearly on the path that will only lead to destruction. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 NKJV “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This type of exposing of evil, false teachers and false prophets has been needed by Christian Leaders for decades! Eph. 5: 11 Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. If people leave your ministry or speak evil of you then the blessing is for you! Matt. 5: 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

Thank you for posting this video. This is a sobering conversation for a sobering time. I was very much sucked into the teaching of Bethel and Todd White. The awesome thing is that God still uses false prophets for his glory, and redeems what the enemy planned for evil. I am NOT advocating their teaching, but God used Todd White's testimony in my life to wake me up to living for Christ. I struggled for a long time with identifying what is true and what is false, and even my own heart for doing the "unloving" searching to determine the true teachers from the false. Ultimately, God used the film American Gospel, my pastor and other Godly shepherds to cut away the lies that were destroying my faith and damaging others' faith. Here are some of the lies that I can see now were steering me away from Jesus. 1. God's intention on earth is always to heal everyone from every disease, sickness, infirmity, etc... 2. Christians should live a sinless perfect life and brag about it in a humble Godly way. Kinda like we should be doing so much good, praying for so many sick people and seeing them healed that we just can't stop talking about ourselves and how much God is using us. This is a trap. The godliest people I have known, confessed their faults, lifted high Jesus and his forgiveness and loved people by serving them. This argument of God's desire to heal everyone's disease through your faith that Bethel and the New Apostolic Reformation pose can sound so biblical and spiritual if you are not careful to understand the overarching purpose of the Bible, and the reason Jesus the Messiah came. Jesus' primary purpose was not to eradicate disease, sickness, and infirmity. His purpose was to save me (and anyone who would repent and believe in Jesus) from my sins and the wages of my sin before GOD. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. " My sin separated me from a HOLY GOD and Jesus came, lived a SINLESS life perfectly fulfilling God's law and standard. His blood was shed on the cross as a payment for all sin. He died a physical death, was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day. The NAR claims the goal of Christianity is to be like Jesus (sounds good but you have to ask what is Gods #1 purpose in conforming you to the image of Christ - Rom 8:23), and since Jesus healed all those who were sick and came to him by the power of the Holy Spirit that we should stop at nothing less than the standard of Jesus. "He is the bar" why would I stop short of pursuing anything less than Jesus. The twist in the teaching here that is false is the purpose of God calling us to be conformed into the image of Christ. We are not conformed into Christ's image to replicate his miracles, signs, and wonders. They were a demonstration and a fulfillment of prophecy that he was the Messiah, God in the flesh. They point us to the GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL - OUR REBIRTH. Colossians 1:13 says "For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son." God crushed his son for me. He marred him beyond the appearance of any man because that was MY appearance before God in my sin apart from the death of Christ. God gave me a new heart, one that loves him and hates sin. God did this for me, not so I could make a name for myself but to make his name famous in the earth. I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe they are for today. I am asking God to raise up men and women that will be like Elijah in our day and in this hour. They will return the hearts of God's children to their father in repentance, prayer, spirit, and truth. They will demonstrate the power of God and the truth of the GOSPEL in this hour while all the false prophets simply do not. They will not seek the spotlight or to be known, just to serve God and store up treasures in heaven. God is greater, more powerful and able to heal the coronavirus. It is not a contest.......not at all. He is more concerned with the eternal soul of men and women than the temporary physical healing of a seriously sick body. Matthew 25:1-13 - He is after a pure bride who is awake, dressed and ready for his return with the lamp wick trimmed and filled with oil. Are we watching and waiting for Jesus. Does our heart yearn for him more and more as we watch and wait for the day of his return? Do we see these recent events purifying idolatry from our hearts? Are we fixing our eyes on the author and perfector of our faith? These are the questions I am asking myself.

Of course Jesus is the healer...our great physician, and the Bible shows us His will for ALL to be healed...not just some who receive a miracle. He bore the stripes not just for a few but for all. He healed all who came to Him. He rebuked the disciples who didn't get the man's son healed because of their unbelief. He was limited by the unbelief in his home town. (There He could do no mighty works except to cure a few minor illnesses. ) No one has to tell Him to heal or when to heal ....He has ALREADY told US in His word. You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Just look at Jesus' example who "only did what He saw His Father do". Who went about healing ALL who were oppressed of the devil. Remember: He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is not a man that He should lie. It is the religious tradition that you see being spouted above that makes the Word of God of no effect. They are criticizing Bethel for closing their healing rooms, but it is out of respect for authorities. Who said that the only way to receive healing is by touch anyway? People can get healed while praying via phone, or at a great distance. Nothing is impossible with God and He certainly isn't at the mercy of a virus sent from the enemy (John 10:10) Be Blessed D. That's true, however I believe the difference is, Paul didn't shout from the rooftops that HE has the gift of healing or that HE can heal, nor performed mass healings while asking for donations. The miracles he performed had a specific purpose at a specific time and place, and always pointed to Christ and His power.

I work with a deliverance ministry, ADC in AZ, we were given special permission to continue services because we deal with the mentally ill. No one has gotten sick. We do distancing but no masks, no gloves. God has blessed us but we must be wise also. Mike Smith teaches a true gospel. Gifts operate through knowledge, preparation and experience. (red letters) 19 After the LORD had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of GOD. (These things are obviously done by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, consistent with the will of GOD, and it is obvious from this scripture that it is not intended that only a select few really holy folks allow Holy Spirit to work through them, but "them that believe"......seems like part of the great commission since He sent out the 12, and then the 70 to do these same things and then said this in Mark 17) I would say to these 4 men who are so dangerously accusing their brethren to PLEASE let Holy Spirit interpret these scriptures instead of letting seminarians (Calvinists) teach them. Jesus had something very sobering to say to the Pharisees about assigning the work of the HOLY SPIRIT to that of the enemy. He also said that a house divided against itself will fall. May we stop listening to the words of naysayers and think on what is good and right....what is just and lovely......the words of these 4 men are not uplifting to the body of Christ, but calling out by name their brothers and sisters in Christ to accuse them. (as the Master would say: "Whoa to them") I agree with you that we must speak about repentance and I pray that they will break out of their deception and repent to God about those that they are harming with their words. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus healed and continues to heal. No person has the power to heal, only Jesus through them. That said Jesus has healed me of severe sickness and more, my mom from cancer (after hands were laid on her in church prayer) and my wife from strep that was inside and outside her body...after doctors sent her home.

I am grateful for you all. It takes godly "guts" to stand firmly on the TRUTH of God's word, and expose the false prophets for who, exactly they are. My parents were heathens, and my poor grandmother was a "holy roller," and even as a small girl, I recognized both worlds as not for me. I thank the LORD that my parents were only too happy to pawn me off to a local Baptist church who had a bus ministry, and could pick me up and dope me back home again. I believe I was born again as a young child, but since we moved a lot, never got to go to church regularly. Long story short, I see now how through the years, God kept me safe and from making irrevocable mistakes eventho' I never went to church until I was old enough to go by myself. Although these are hard times and even harder for some. But at the same time,we have been given the opportunity to run to The Lord Jesus Christ Our Saviour. And instead of watching t.v., watching movies, spend countless hours on social media,...... We should seek God, get to know him better by reading the Bible, spend time listening to sermons by pastors that teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the real Jesus Christ, and spend a lot of time praying. Thanks so much for doing this video, gentlemen. Having recently come out of that movement after 20+ years, it’s so good to see bible believing Christians actually applying the scriptures. I absolutely love how you threw down the gauntlet on these “Faith Healers”. I mean talk about the opportunity of a lifetime, right? This is their time to shine as modern day heroes of the faith as they humbly walk into hospitals and empty them because of the miraculous gifts they possess. Or giving spot-on prophecies about what God is saying right now. But no, that is not what’s happening. They are being exposed for what they REALLY are. Empty suits. And everybody knows it.

Let me tell you, I have seen miracle after miracle in my life. For instance. for over 10 years, I had a painful ganglion cyst on my foot. Right in front of my inner ankle, on my left foot. It was the size of my protruding inner ankle bone, and just as hard. It made standing for any period of time very painful. Derailed my education to become an RN. It popped up right as I was about to go into clinicals. The Dr said this particular type of cyst, at that particular place was just something I'd have to learn to live with. That he could draw off the fluid, but it would refill quickly. He said there was absolutely no cure. So I changed majors, to work in office stuff. But over the last several years, I began to lay my hand on that cyst, and rebuke it in the name of Jesus. I quoted Scripture to it. I commanded the spirit of infirmity to leave. Over and over, I fought for my healing, standing on the Word. And one day nearly a year ago, I realized IT WAS GONE! That spot on my foot is completely smooth, and absolutely without pain. GOD DID IT! We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. This is a battle. It's war. Even in disease and physical infirmities. Jesus "went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil." Do you SEE that??? The way Jesus healed, was FIRST by recognizing the Enemy was involved! If you look at the Hebrew and Greek words translated "save" you will find in both instances, the word means more than just spiritual salvation. For instance, the Greek word "Sozo" is translated in some places "heal" and in other places "deliver"... and in other places, "save." Because it means ALL THREE! Jesus took upon Himself our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses. By His stripes, we WERE healed.... Just as by his stripes, we WERE SAVED! How do we access salvation? By praying and begging and pleading, until we feel different? NO. We access salvation by believing His Word, and claiming the promises as DONE, before the feelings happen. And that's how healing is accessed! I'll never forget... my sister was having horrible knee problems, and was scheduled for surgery. She believed as she had always been taught, that GOD designed her physical problems for her spiritual good, to make her sweeter, etc. And she had surgery, and from then on, all kinds of problems. And my knees began to have sharp pains. She told me, oh my... you're in for it! But I refused to accept it as God's will. 3 days of unceasing, stabbing knee pain. And then, I realized I needed to accept my healing by faith, the same way I accepted my salvation by faith. So I whispered to God (I was in church, waiting for the service to start.) "Jesus, I believe you took upon yourself my sins, and I received salvation by faith in your shed blood. Now, by faith, I accept what you did for my painful knees. I believe I WAS healed by your stripes. Now, I'm going to just praise you and thank you for what's already done." And then I just forgot about it. I got into the service and near the end I realized-- MY KNEE PAIN WAS GONE! Only once after that did I deal with knee pain. The weather was changing, and my boss was groaning about his arthritis. And then my knee began to stab with pain. and I forgot to fight it on a spiritual level. I gave place to that devil of infirmity... limping around in pain for a whole 24 hrs. The whole workplace knew I was suffering! But the next morning, I remembered! And I told my boss (A Baptist deacon) what gave me relief from knee pain before. He just glowered at me and silently turned to his desk. I sneaked off to the bathroom, and spoke out loud to the devil: "You spirit of infirmity, I command you in Jesus' Name to get out of my knee. This body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit. I have been redeemed, cleansed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. I am a member of His body, of His FLESH and of His BONES. That includes these knees! Get out NOW!" And then, I spoke to the Lord, "Jesus, thank you for taking upon yourself all of my infirmities. Just as I received salvation for my soul by faith before I felt any feelings, even so I receive by faith the healing you have provided for my knees. I accept your stripes. I receive your healing." And I started to praise Him. Walked back to the office, and ALL THE PAIN WAS GONE! My boss got mad when I told him. Because he was still hurting... and he thinks it's all God's will! That's all he's been taught. That happened probably over 6 months ago. And NO MORE KNEE PAIN, all through fall and winter, and now spring weather changes. My sister asks sometimes how my knees are. I just tell her the truth. That I've been healed.

From this video, alone, it may seem that y'all don't think the "miracle" gifts (ie; healing) are still occuring, but it's the same Spirit that gives those gifts as well as knowledge, discernment, and so on. What are your views, exactly, on these "miracle" gifts?

As far as the health and wealth gospel is concerned it's being able to explain tongues, apostolic authority and just what the work of the atonement brings us. It's so hard to talk to people who are so deceived. I have a family member who tells me my faith has no power because I won't do her ritualistic prayers. She has decided that Rodney Howard Browne is now her Pastor because he got arrested for having church. She basically accused me for my 5 year olds chronic illness. I just have to continue to pray for her. My husband struggles because he was raised in this. He doesn't believe in her witchcraft christianity anymore buy it's so instilled in him. I see it having an impact everytime something in life goes wrong. He automatically resorts back to old thinking. He had Cancer as a kid and I can only imagine the impact this type of upbringing has on him. It really makes the cancer his fault. Kind of crazy because my daughter's illness is apparently the fault of my weak faith but my husband having cancer as a kid was blamed on his faith but not on his Mother's faith...

Can you please do more teachings like this on WHY Jesus did the signs and wonders He did and the story behind His signs and wonders ministry? And why its not really for our day and age.. these short teachings are amazing to send to friends and family that still don’t want there eyes opened to false teachers and their teachings. My eyes were opened just a few months ago about the NAR,Word of Faith Movement and Prosperity Gospel - after unknowingly being in a church like this for almost 20years... so everything I ever thought I knew to be right is actually totally wrong. And its not just this topic, its the topics of the 5fold ministry, speaking in tongues, being drunk in the ‘spirit’, basically everything the NAR/Prosperity Gospel preaches to be right and biblical. So teachings on WHY these are NOT Biblical will be really helpful to pass on to friends and even Pastors I know, that are being deceived. Being from South Africa I find it so hard to find a sound biblically based church now, its either all the charismatic churches are all part of these movements or you have other churches that totally remove scripture from the Bible if it doesn’t fit their doctrine eg. like the rapture. So to be really honest, I don’t think I am going to find a sound Biblically Based Church here in South Africa? Then the other issue also is that all the churches sing songs from Bethel,Hillsong, Elevation Worship and all the other heretic churches??? I now also desperately feel the need to have myself baptized again in a sound Biblical Church seeing that I was deceived for so long! What do I do if I don’t find a biblically sound church here in South Africa? I absolutely loved being part of a local church and serving in the church.

I would also like to add Matthew 7 and pray that Bill and other false teachers and those they are deceiving would read not only that chapter but the whole book and then the whole Bible. Anyway, in chapter 7 where people will come before Jesus and say Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name? And Jesus said, depart from me, for I never knew you. Jesus said we would have trouble and would be persecuted for His namesake. Jesus died for me and I will die for Him wielding that sword of truth if it comes to that. After many, many years following the prosperity gospel, God finally revealed truth to me. It had to take me nearly losing my career, losing my home, getting into debt, blaming God, depression, anxiety, then finally becoming very angry with God. Now, I don't know what to believe. I'm in a time of confusion and fear of trying a different church. It would be so helpful for you guys to give advice on finding a biblically based church that teaches TRUTH!!

I am grateful to say that I am a born again Christian and have been since I was 19.......I am thankful for men women and all ppl who are sold out to Jesus like the people in this video! we need them! folks these days are getting darker and Christ is coming quickly! if you don’t know Christ as your savior then it burdens my soul to think that you are headed for a terrible place called Hell where the Bible says the fire is never quenched and the worm dies not! Folks you are not promised tomorrow! If you want to know how to be saved from this horrible reality then please by all means don’t hesitate to comment right back so I can lead you to the savior! 2 Corinthians 6:2 clearly states “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation!” And Hebrews 3:15 clearly states, “Today if you hear his voice don’t harden your hearts! It is not me but the Holy Spirit that I pray reveals to you the truth of his precious gospel......John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes on him will not perish but have everlasting life! V 17 says then V 18 says whoever believes on the son is not condemned but whoever does not believe on the son is condemned already because he has not believed on the son whom God has sent! Also Acts 16:30-31 what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house I am not threatening anyone but just warning them what will happen if they reject this precious gift of eternal life! Christ died a horrible criminals death! He was beaten brutally mocked spit upon and endured countless hours of torture pain for all of our sins! Ppl go to hell because they reject that pardon for their sins! And Jesus is saying to them in Matthew 25:41 depart from me you cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels! Hell was only prepared for Satan and his angels! It is not God who threatens anyone it is the craziness of rejecting the free pardon of salvation! It’s like if you’re in court you’ve committed a crime say you murdered someone! Now if you say to that Judge hey I know I’ve done a terrible thing of murdering that person but I hear you’re a good judge and so I know you’ll be fair to me...... the judge is going to reply well yes you’re right about one thing I am a good judge and because I’m a good judge I’m going to see to it that you’re punished and that justice is served! Well then all of a sudden someone you don’t even know comes forward and says you know what I know he’s committed the crime he’s committed and he deserves to go to jail but I really don’t want to see him go to prison so I’ll just go to prison for him so he can go free! So if you accepted that offer you’d be free to leave the courtroom but if you didn’t well you’d be crazy and go to prison yourself! Well that’s exactly how it was 2,000 years ago! He is God in human flesh and he came to this earth lived a perfect sinless life and even though he knew that we had sinned and because of our sins deserved to die miserably but he said no I don’t want to see them suffer so I will go and take their punishment for them! Even though he did absolutely nothing wrong still he chose to take the punishment for our sins so we can be set free from the power bondages and consequences of our disobedience to God! Romans 5:8 says For God commends his love toward us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! 1 John 2:2 says he was made to be the propitiation for our sins! And not just for our sins but the sins of the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:21 He who knew no sin became Sin for us that we would be made his righteousness! The truth is if you had to get to Heaven by your own effort then you cannot do it! Because Romans 3:10 says there is not one that does good! No Not One! Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death! But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord! But the good news is Romans 10:9 If we confess with our mouth and believes in our hearts that Christ died for our sins then was raised from the dead we will be saved! V 10 For it’s with the heart we believe and it’s with the mouth confession is made unto salvation! God gave us 10 commandments to follow and we’ve broken every one of them! And because God is a good God he cannot allow our disobedience to him to go unpunished! Well then like I just mentioned above his son Jesus stepped forward and said no I don’t want to see them punished so I will take their punishment for them! And also like I said he died a terrible substitute criminal’s death for us on a cross so now all we have to do is accept that payment for our sins and we can escape the terrible wrath of God that is to fall on them who do not accept this atonement that was sacrificed for our sins! Praise the lord Romans 10:13 says Whoever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved! And 1 Peter 1:4 you’re an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you! Christ clearly said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father but through me! Acts 4:12 clearly states that there is no other name given unto Heaven or earth by which we must be saved as there is salvation in no other! Jesus clearly states that there is clearly only one way to Salvation and it’s him that’s it! There is no other way! God Bless everyone who reads!

As someone who frequently prays for people and as someone who sees Father legitimately touch the person; I'm sort of torn. I agree 100% that most of these are either charlatans or operating out of a spirit of Kundalini or a false Holy Spirit. That thing is rampant today as it probably was even in the days of the scripture writing. I don't like to tag myself as a "faith healer". I don't do anything but be obedient to pray for someone and God through me touches the person. All healing is from Him. I have heard over and over the condescending challenge of "Well, if you can heal why not go to the hospital and heal everybody." That hurts me when I hear it because I would LOVE to see there be no need of hospitals and doctors. Yet Luke was a physician. The skeptic must understand us real folks trying to walk out the faith. We are 100% human and 0% God. God sometimes PREEMPTS my humanity to accomplish a great work in a person's life for His Glory. Sometimes though we the human REFUSE to get out of the way or we are afraid something might not happen which I have seen more than a few times. You got to understand SOMETIMES WE'RE JUST AFRAID. Yes, Father has commanded us NOT TO BE but our flesh is full of consternation. I'm JUST LEARNING. I did not go to some supernatural school. Or follow some program. I did adopt a prayer that helps me remember what to ask for and what to speak to, but that's more for me. Sometimes I walk good, but then like any toddler I bobble and eat dirt. And I might do that a few times even in a day. Other times I can run. But only so far before I fall. It's TRUE that hospitals JUST DON'T LET YOU TURN LOOSE AND GO AROUND PRAYING FOR PEOPLE. I'm a chaplain at a hospital, one of the many and we are EXPRESSLY not allowed. I wanted to sign up for St Jude's once. Til I learned you couldn't pray in Jesus Name. Sometimes I'm bold. Other times...not so much. If I see a cast or a part in a sling or someone limping I might go up to them. Then though I might allow someone in a electric cart to pass me by. That is me falling. Maybe I think it's too much. Maybe I think my faith hasn't reached that place yet. Then I beat myself up because I left them in their suffering because I didn't have the faith to try. I rarely record while I pray. I feel like if I'm recording it I'm putting Jesus on like a show. I sometimes get testimonial afterwards but people don't believe it and think they are a plant. I don't follow up. I l am am not out to prove anything. I am not out for fame or fortune, Lord knows I have never charged a penny to pray for someone or asked for a donation. Even I the times I'm most in need and scrounging for gas money. But I know my pay is coming with the King. As far as Corona goes, it's affected me too. Even though I know God can heal it instantly if He desires I also don't want to go around infecting people as I'm praying for them in the event I had it and didn't know it. Sometimes the Lord has a purpose in a particular suffering. I hate when faith healers try to BLAME the person who's being prayed for. One thing I've learned. God is SOVEREIGN and SOMETIMES HE SAYS NO. It's frustrating, it's disappointing to the one praying and usually the person being prayed for. But He knows why He is allowing something. That's what I always tell people. He is Sovereign. He does what He wants when He wants. It's just my job to try and pray for them. I love God's people and I love those who AREN'T YET BUT WHO ARE GOING TO BE God's people.
