Salt Pepper same here! I was in a charismatic ministry and tricked out of 10,000 dollars 💵 The ironic thing is my Pastor at the time really preached the Bible. Then one day he started twisting the word to control and manipulate. After 12 years l got out of their..... l stayed so long because l didn’t have a Christian upbringing so l simply didn’t know any better. I honestly thought l would be cursed if left! It’s crazy now that I’m free. I haven’t been a member of a church in 5 years and l can truly say l hear from the Holy Spirit for myself now! Jesus is Lord.

Which 👏🏻 version 👏🏻 should 👏🏻 we 👏🏻 read 👏🏻?? There are many. Some include some books, others cut those out. Although Aramaic was the spoken language of alleged Jesus; the Greek, Latin, and vulgate versions differ greatly. The entire Genesis is almost a direct translation of the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh. I find the bible an interesting book from a historical perspective, but so severely flawed as a religion; contradictory, obtuse, racist, and cloaked in bizarre, meaningless symbolism. Also the cause of many schisms, wars and hatred. So, yeah, there's that.

@@druid139 well...I disagree about the Bible causing schisms, being racist, contradictory, obtuse or flawed but people's perception, greed, and recklessness definitely does. You can ask the holy spirit to guide you to which Bible but I personally use three. I cross reference them but you have to make the decision yourself. I personally look for older translations because these new Bibles are having scripture altered and completely wiped out. Have a blessed day.

When I went to Briercrest Bible College, three friends and I went to see this man to find out if he was for real. We had to leave. We couldn't take it anymore. The horror of these poor, crippled people betting their health on this charlaton was more than we could take. We were furious and heart broken. My wife,too,contracted polio as an infant. We were invited by friends to a Benny Hinn crusade,and we went with an open mind. My wife and I are Christians. I recognised the pastor friend of my wife's,who'd invited us. Benefactors of the Benny Hinn tour (?) of Australia filled the front rows of the hall. The disable people were seated at the back of the hall. It was planned that way. I rang their Brisbane office the next day,and the representative could not explain why. She sounded as surprised as me. I have been astounded to hear people blame my wife for not being healed. She,too,is a strong woman of faith. I agree,Debra,that's faith.

I saw Benny Hinn's ministry in Manila, Philippines on a TV show. It was a few blocks from where I was living. I had never seen them do anything! After that I started monitoring their office. I went to see Benny Hinn many years ago when he came to the Dallas Convention Center. It was crazy, there were so many people some doors were chained shut. But I was one of the people who snuck through one of those doors, thinking I was pressing through, like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' garment. But once I got inside, I saw so much pride in Hinn, waving his hand and people falling down! Even then, as a young Christian, it seemed like idol worship to me.

My best friend from years ago, had breast cancer for the second time. She is in heaven today! When she was still doing pretty well, she found out Benny was coming to town! She put every ounce of faith she had into being healed that night! She paid a lot of money for the tickets, but she & her hubby went! They treated her so rudely & wouldn’t even allow her on stage! She learned a lot that night, and died a much wiser woman, a few months later! I’m glad she had some time to share her story with those who would have spent money to go see this fraud, too! We laughed about many times before she left! She said (and I understood) that when you want to live longer, it’s real easy to get sucked in, and put your faith in some man, instead of God! My step brother was a preacher for probably 15 years. He was a good man and I was a teen that was steady in trouble and doing drugs. I looked up to him and wanted to be just like him but would never make a change. He actually spoke at my brothers funeral in 2017. What nobody knew and what he hide very well was that he was addicted to meth and was using on a daily basis. Per my former church, this verse can't be taken at face value. At the time and place of the verse, a small gate in the city wall was called "the eye of the needle", so a camel could go through it. Benny Hinn changed over time. I remember when Costi was just a little boy, maybe even a toddler at the time. Things were different then, but Costi wouldn't remember that. I learned respect for the Holy Spirit from the Benny Hinn of that time. I also had my greatest spiritual growth at that time, which is still strong in my life some 30 years later. I was healed and set free from various things through some of the guest preachers, from Pastor Benny, and from a couple of his pastor brothers. This doesn't excuse how things are now. It shows that we need to guard our own faith and relationship with Jesus Christ so that we aren't led astray ourselves.

I remember my dad and I traveling up and down the central valley holding short services and subbing for pastors in churches that couldn't afford the big names to hold revival services. We would actually provide all materials and not take a cent. There were small churches that wanted to pay us but each time when they gave us an offering we immediately said while handing the money back this is a gift for your local missions and operations. If we took the money for ourselves in 5 years we would have been millionaires. there was actually two churches we were at that we knew the churches were considering declaring bankruptcy but the members gave so much that when we did our exact give back policy those churches were rescued. We did do events at a few mega-churches but they would ask if we would like to be paid or if we had any ministry that we had in mind. We kept giving churches and outreaches directly the funds we raised.

Yeah, it does make me wonder if he asked from $ all the time. My godfather has gone to a BH conference and was healed of the pain he had going on on his way there. To be honest, though, I think Holy Spirit just healed him after BH made a general prayer not b/c he went on stage for him to lay hands on him as an individual for healing. I do not remember him mentioning that they wanted $ but my uncle did not look like he was ill. So if someone was at the door discouraging really sick people from coming based on appearance, he could have easily slipped through. It makes me think that he was genuine at one point and went gravely off track. Either way, it is really sad. I thank God that your daughter was healed though! to God be the glory!

You’ve taken that scripture out of context. The rich man believed that he had lived a righteous life (he was trusting on his works for salvation) and he loved his money. Abraham, Job, David, Solomon and even Zacchaeus were rich and they didn’t give away all of their money and they are all in heaven. Zacchaeus gave away half of his wealth and was saved that day. Not because he gave the money away but because he trusted on the Lord. Zacchaeus was still a wealthy man after giving this money away. Luke 19:8-9 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

That's because he is being blessed by God. Were you aware he did not even want to become a preacher ? Even Solomon did not want to become rich. All he asked for was wisdom. God gave it to him and he became rich because of it. Spend more time reading the bible. Instead of listening to the devil. It's why you are not being blessed as much. God promised us his word would not turn void. If you are not being blessed its because you are fighting him. Never forget Jesus swamped Peter's boat for a good reason. Had a friend and prayer group member who was suffering from lung cancer and went on stage and after BH prayed and said he was free; he was asked to walk on stage and testify. A month or so later he passed away from this sickness. Having said this, sometimes you may hear the word of God through someone where there is truth as God uses people as instruments, but we have to discern whatever has been told to us by leaning on the Holy Spirit.

I went to a crusade many years ago and was instantly healed. I was very surprised! I had a cyst on my neck and that thing completely disappeared.
