Regarding the Bracero program, they still do it till this day but with “H2A” workers. Im a supervisor in Agriculture here in the Salinas Valley *norcal* and i work closely with these contracted workers from Mexico. Theres alot more to it let me know if yall wanna here more about it

Christopher Columbus is an ancestor of Latinos. Because he was from Spain. We have culture in common with him like our language , religion and many of our customs. And as far as leaving stuff out just like today the economic system had a slave work force today our work force has slave wages and conditions even in the U.S. There are people who feel like working out in the field is beneath them just like slave owners did before. I believe it is relevant to not leave out how we participate in the perpetuating of slave like work today by accepting and benefiting from it's business and others.

My grandpa was part of the braseros. He got sent back to Mexico without pay. Around the early 2000’s the Mexican government actually implemented a program that helped braseros fight for the money they were owed. My grandpa started receiving his money around 2006, he unfortunately passed away on 2010, but up until this day my grandma receives his check monthly.
