I watched Quinn's video of the gift you posted to her and I was so excited to see the doll carrier because I've been making them for my markets. She put it on a giant stuffie which made me laugh, they are really great makes and even my husband noticed them and said how mums are going to love those for their little girls. Quinn does some great market makes in her cactus and stand-up worms that are so cute and different, I need to ask her where the pattern comes from because I need to make a giant worm. Quinn does lovely market setups I'm always watching her videos to see different ways to make my stall look because I hate it looking the same in each market. I started to make a temp blanket this year but only got a few months in before I got so busy it was hard to concentrate on it and I've noticed some of the stitches are wrong, it's done in a Tunisian chevron pattern and I think the problem is that I really don't want another blanket here in Qld. I need to think of another way to do a smaller temperature project than a blanket, but I love Tunisian crochet. I like your blanket project with doing strips of different textures and I adore having giant tassels on my throw rugs and can see myself doing one of those in the future Love that you are bringing out all these videos, it's so nice to see another Aussie crocheter
@InmysparetimeCrochetАй бұрын
@@MystLily thanks Cherylene 🥰❤️ yes we definitely need more Aussie crocheters on YT 😊🫶🏻 I’ve never done Tunisian crochet before.. I like that Jill has done really small squares that take almost no time to whip up. If you did in a lightweight yarn it might be fine for QLD? Someone else also suggested doing a historical one, then you can totally do it at your own pace.. I like the sound of that, you could also make it for a special / specific year as a gift even 🥰 yes tassels on these strip blankets would work very well! Quinn is a sweetie, I’ve been watching her since almost the beginning. Even though I don’t do markets myself I love watching her set up evolve and she is just so easy to watch 😊 x

I did a temperature blanket and my advice is to do a historical one. You can go as fast as you want on it, and even if you put it down for a month you aren't behind. I started in October and got it done in February. But most importantly, I was never burnt out on it. Every KZbinr I watch that has done one would get a bit behind and then stress over it. I love my blanket and no stress memory 🥰

Hello Jenni! I absolutely love your granny squares and you’ve inspired me to start some myself 😊I’m also quite intrigued with the blanket book. For the upcoming CAL, do you think #2 weight yarn would work? I do primarily Amigurumi and most of my stash is that weight aside from a little Stylecraft special DK, but I find that to be quite splitty and don’t know that I want to use it. Any thoughts?
@InmysparetimeCrochetАй бұрын
@@StephanieHarter-z7c oh that’s awesome that you are going to makes some squares! I don’t see why you couldn’t use #2 weight yarn.. I guess the squares will just be smaller 🤔 that’s interesting, I quite like Stylecraft, but we are all different! 😊❤️
@StephanieHarter-z7cАй бұрын
@@InmysparetimeCrochet I love the feel and color ways of Stylecraft, perhaps it is something I could be doing differently. It may be that I was trying to use it for Amigurumi because that’s what the pattern called for. Now that I think about it, I did do an Attic 24 blanket in Stylecraft special DK and I enjoyed it!
