Thank you so much for this! How many after school activities during the week would you suggest? My 10 year old has two after school activities at the school. One is on Wednesday and one is on Thursday.

“Adhd kids learn inthe moment so they have to be taught in the moment”. Wait.. I thought it was the opposite where OUTSIDE of the moment is where learning takes place? Maybe that’s just for emotional regulation. But I do see how this is true. I totally see it with my boys. They can’t transfer skills from one time or experience to another

It has to do with their time horizon. I teach this in the membership site courses. Here's a video to understand it better: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIrGgZZ3hJtqp68

Heading to middle school 6th grade on Wednesday. My kiddo is dreading it. I don't know how to help her improve her mindset or attitude.
@@ADHDDude i have definitely improved on this one. I no longer play armchair therapist. I know from the last 2 years of experience that she is going to get in the car and complain and ruminate. Later on in the evening good moments from the day get relayed. :). Thank you for the reminder to be mindful of what I give attention to.

Can students write down homework at the end of the day instead of at the end of each class period?
@ADHDDude2 ай бұрын
Sure if they can do that consistently.
