Nice looking radio that one!!. An suggestion for the AVR circuit in these radios to make them more stable is to replace the transistor AVR with either the 78xx voltage regulator ic or the LM317 adjustable voltage regulator ic but don't forget to put 0.1 uf capacitors on the input/output of these ic's.

@@MicroChipz i think the AVR voltage in these radios is about 9 volts going by memory.
