I have one of these radios that was converted to the 50mhz amateur band, it's a bit of a rats nest with the mods, they retuned it by adding capacitors to the coils to make them resonate on 50mhz. The reciever on it is brilliant especially when there is some sporadic E about!!.

Wow that was some toggle switch action going on there. I was a terror for fitting them back then but not to the sides.😂 One of my favourites too and still have a couple myself.
