What a treat it is to have Melissa Gilbert on the already great show. For two episodes, no less. Thank you!

Speaking of New York, I met Dean circa 1995 when I was auditioning for "Jesus Christ Superstar" somewhere in mid-town and Dean was auditioning for something else in the same building. I recognized him and was like "You're Manly!!" and he laughed and said "Of all the things people recognize me for, that is the one I hear the most". He said he was trying to put together/direct an off-Broadway version of "Evita" from what I remember. He signed a dollar bill for me and joked someday if I were poor, I might need to use it for a subway ride. Sadly, I probably used it for two $39 cent tacos when I was a starving musician in Los Angeles some years later. LOL Hopefully, I'll meet him again sometime at one of these Little House reunions and have him sign a new dollar bill for me.

One of my favourite episodes was the apples one Melissa! I was a late bloomer also so I could relate. You pulled it off amazing! Really enjoying the podcasts Dean, Allison and Pamela. It’s interesting to hear some of the behind the scenes from us ordinaries! 😊

Just loved this episode! So glad there's a part 2 - I could listen to you all day ❤ I was a 7 year old when I first saw LH in the UK and was just so fond of Melissa/Laura because she was like me! My Dad wasn't around at that time so Michael Landon was a great substitute. The show has a big place in my heart x

Loved this podcast. Melissa is so entertaining. Her adult grandchildren might still watch I didn’t watch Little House until my parents came to live with me in 2016 I was 66. They watched it everyday and I got hooked on it. Loved Dean and Alison as well.

My mom said she named me after you, Melissa! She learned English by watching a lot of Little House on the Prairie, as well as other shows and various media, but your performance left quite an impression on her! So much so that, when she found out she was having a daughter, she hoped she would be like you! And what’s crazy is what we have in common- I tear up my nails so badly! I shred them to the point of my fingers and cuticles bleeding. I’ve done this all my life. Anyway, I really like my name so thanks to your parents for naming you that I guess 😂 and thank you to YOU Melissa, for your impactful work- this podcast has been delightful to watch, I can’t wait to show it to my mom!

I'm sad I came upon the little house 50 podcast after their reunion. I wish I had found this earlier; I may have made the trip to CA to see them. The stories in this podcast are so fun and reflect back to my childhood. Melissa is a few weeks older than me, so I Identify with the times when they were filming. PS Alison, I love your wit!

There are fun events coming up throughout this year I think. Not to the same scale. They just had the cherry blossom festival. Not sure where it is. I think dean said that they are keeping up the facades at Simi Valley. Of course not with the cast though

I’ve been binge watching my LHOTP DVDs with my 6 kids (ages 8, 6, 5, 3, 3 and 20 months). We are on Season 3 now and they all love it! Even the 20 month old will sit and watch for a while. My twin girls just turned 3 and they love to watch Carrie “fall down” at the beginning of every episode. They laugh hysterically every time and shout, “Mommy, Cawwie fall! Cawwie fall!” So fun to be able to watch these all again just like my sisters and I did with our parents on our own set of DVDs 20 years ago!

The episode "The Gift" where Laura convinces Mary to buy the "medicines" to double their money is a favorite. When the girls don't want to go to church because they have "larren GEE tis" cracks me up every time! Pa schools them in pronunciation and makes them get up and off to church. I think we can all relate to that scene!

ANNNNND speaking of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, given their character’s history and that blonde wig Alison has, I would LOVE to see Alison Arngrim and Melissa Gilbert do a remake of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?😃 Whether it’s Broadway, a TV movie or a theatrical release, they would be PERFECT for it. AND Alison would now be pushing Melissa in a wheelchair.😂

I know this doesn't relate to this interview, but I was just watching a random episode...The Halloween Dream...about the indians etc. When the army commander asked for his scope to see what was coming, I could see in the reflection of the glass part of the scope...the camera crew! So funny. But I noticed those things since I had some experience with continuity responsibilities in my younger days.

From my understanding from afar....MSA chooses to not participate; she never has over the decades. Melissa and I think Alison have gently and graciously mentioned in their respective books they never connected with MSA while filming LHOTP. MSA was always kept separated from the other children on the set by her Mother; that is my understanding, I could be wrong. But there was a definite wall that MG, AA and the other children tried hard to break through and include MSA. I kept hoping all of these years later it would be different; MSA is sorely missed from any reunions.
