That was really good finally got some faces to the names. Hood day is the shit. Me and two of my brothers started one in south side Jamaica queens. We started out in a city park and cops being cops saw there too many black young men having a good time and not fighting with each other so they had to break that shit up quick but we moved it to a state park and cats from all over started coming thru there was about 300 people one of the last ones that shit got expensive and when we saw people were coming just to get food to take home we just lost interest I guess or couldn’t afford to feed all those people and our families just recently I’ve been trying to figure out how we could do it again so guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I remember being a child riding to my grandpas house with my Mom the summer of 03, i was nowhere close to banging yet but i had an understanding of it. I remember seeing AT THE TIME what i knew to be Crip niggas ALL thru my city lowriding shooting off fireworks, blue rags and S Hats and big 5x tall tees and baggy jeans.
